I look at it this way:

Pac vs ODLH win was legendary in that a fighter from two divisions south came to meet a fighter who was a six division champ and the face of boxing for the past decade. The fight itself was just shocking as ODLH had never been forced to quit. It was also an awful fight as it was not competitive since ODLH did not look like anything he was before.

JMM vs Diaz win was one great fight for boxing fans as an old skillful fighter faced a young elite fighter and together produced one of the best fights boxing has seen in the light weight division in a long time. The fight was filled with back and forth action and the ending was incredible.

In comparison, the Pac vs. ODLH win will be remembered for many years for production a Goliath vs. David story but it will not be one of the most entertaining fights to watch ever again. The JMM vs. Diaz win is a great and entertaining fight but might be left to savor for only real boxing fans.

    On paper or in reality?

On paper its pretty obvious...just like Calzaghe's win over Roy Jones, it looks great on paper, but in reality if he had beaten somebody like Glen Johnson or Dawson it would have meant that much more.

Marquez fought his heart out and won against a hungry young champion.

pac was a 2-3 to 1 underdog in the dlh fight. jmm was the favorite in the juan diaz fight. the bigger win was pac's . but it was a great performance by jmm, expected being the #2 p4p fighter. i guess jmm's win tonight was magnified due to his unexpected sub-par performances against a very faded casa and mab before this fight.

Pac's win. He was the underdog coming into the fight. Plus, no matter what you say, Oscar is a big name even to the casual fans.

JMM's win was greater. I know DLH was a heavy favorite, but no one who picked DLH thought he was just gonna stand there and do nothing.

JMM win was a much better fight than Oscar just sitting their getting beat on all night, JMM fought a young good top tier fighter and was losing half of the fight and came back like a peoples champ does!!!

the diaz win is fantastic but it not greater than the oscar win. pac has to move two weight classes to fight a much bigger opponent. let's change the scenario and jmm won over oscar while pac won over juan diaz? guess who has the greater win?

People that say JMMs win is better are pure nuthugger. Did anybody said Oscar was shot b4 the Pac fight? Now,Comparing Oscar to Diaz i think is a bit insulting.

It's not that delahoya just stood there. it's cuz he couldn't catch pacman. Nobody wants to give pacman's credit for having a great fight plan. Roach knew that pacman had to move around and used his speed to avoid oscar. Oscar tried to throw combination but every time he does pacman is out of reach.

the only time he got to hit pacquiao is when he cornered him and threw couple of punches. Pacman was just too fast for oscar that night.

    bottom line is
Delahoya was a 2-1 favorite over pacman
Marquez was the favorite against diaz

Now how can marquez win be bigger when he is the favorite? Not many people thought pacman would beat oscar. The fact that he did and dominated is a bigger win.:good

Pacman's win was bigger no doubt bout it

I think Pac's win is more signoficant. He came in as the underdog and I expected him to lose. That dela Hoya wasn't up to snuff is no fault of Pacquiao's.

I assumed JMM would win this fight. I'm damned disappointed that I didn't get to see it earlier. Hopefully I can catch it later tonight.

In summary, Pac's win is more significant but apparently JMM's was the better fight.
