on the subject of who's the better fighter or who has been up against the best competition, imagine this... try substituting pac w/ floyd and vice versa against their previous oppponents. for example: do u think pac could've beaten corrales back on jan 2001? or that floyd would've triumphed over barrera back on nov 2003? better yet, do u think Pac could've beaten the same DLH that floyd fought back on may 2007? just food for thought. imo, floyd would've beaten ALL of pac's opponents. but do i think pac beats all of floyds opponents...eh, not so much.
that can be done all around though.... Take Mosley and Mayweather, two top fighters in the same division. Now put Mayweather in with Oscar x2 Prime Forrest x2 Winky Wright x2 Prime Cotto Does he remain undefeated? highly doubtful Now take Mosley and pit him against the names that mayweather foughtr are available in the weightclasses he fought in, does he go undefeated? I think so, and id wager he would notch more spectacular wins against that oppisition as well. same argument imo..... not trying to hate on floyd here but im just saying.
of course floyd would have beaten all of pacs previous opponents because they are flyweights and featherweights. will this noobs get more dumber any minute? pac would have beaten the version of oscar that floyd fought because roach said it is the oscar who could not pull the trigger anymore. i could not say the same about cotto for floyd.
i agree, if floyd would've fought vernon the same night mosley did, he would've had trbl. but i think he beats DLH, winky, and definately cotto.
u stupid..there is no way a 2007 pac beats a 2007 DLH. and yes, roach did say that about DLH. that is why he hand-picked him to fight pac in 2009. lame.
well for now we just have to agree to disagree on winky and prime oscar (as i think they give him all he wants and probably beat him, well oscar for sure, although a winky fight i could see mayweather pulling off) but the point is you can do this all around boxing, so if one thinks it relivent for one fighter, it has to be relivent to all. But although its interesting, i dont think one could use it for much more then an interesting side note, meaning its to be taken with a grain of salt.
idiot, why would you put a jr. lightweight against a lt. middle? obviously roach is talking about the lightweight pac version which he thinks can beat the version that floyd fought, the one he coached. and it was oscar who handpicked the lightweight pacquiao back then in fear of margarito. you should know your recent boxing history at least. :deal and your argument that floyd would beat pac's previous opponents sucks because floyd is a jr. lightweight at his lowest. of course he would beat guys like sasakul, ledwaba and barrera. he just proved his size advantage when he last fought marquez. lol
