Which makes more $$$ for both fighters than any other fight right?

That is why your argument is subjective you have a pessimistice output about the potential revenue of how much the fight will make. Floyd and Delahoya said it themselves that $40 million will be guranteed to each fighter. Has Floyd ever made $40 million for a fight?

In the last 3 years Pac has been averaging more $ from fighting than Floyd has. Pacquiao is chasing the most $ available eversince DLH. He has fought the fought the fights that made the most money given the situation at those times.

Clottey was the best available opponent at the time on such short notice.
It's also non-sense to compare those ppv numbers with each other. Clottey is no where near as known as Mosley was and Mayweather/Mosley has been a fight thats been practically promoted for over a decade.

Did you only just start following Pacquiao's career when he moved up to lightweight?

Seriously? You are aware that there are other great fighters besides Pac and Floyd, right?? Since Floyd is not working, he doesn't factor into the equation. We can basically assume he's retired. Pac should be fighting the next best fighter and that surely isn't Shane! The real question is - How can anyone credit Pac for fighting old man Mosley??

did you see the contracts? how do you know what the guaranteed $ is? are you basing this off of the march negotiations? thought we were past that.

and again, floyd makes more per fight than pac...how hard is that for you to deal with? he has done it with all common opponents, and beats pac when they are fighting different guys...numbers don't lie, although you try to make them lie.

The truth is outside of Floyd and Martinez, every other fighter would be a huge underdog against Pacquiao. But we must give the opportunity to whomever deserves it the most. Right now it's either Berto or JMM. It certainly isn't Shane. He has done absolutely nothing in recent times to show us he can compete with Pac. At least Berto and JMM are coming off impressive wins.

    nope, you're wrong

pac vs jmm has nothing to do with floyd vs jmm....nothing, nothing, nothing

just like pac vs hatton had nothing to do with floyd vs hatton..they beat them at different times, at different weights, with different styles in different ways

pac vs jmm only has to do with pac vs jmm....and no one can give a valid reason why pac jmm 3 should be at 147

Anything can happen, in any of these fights. Pac's defense is not airtight...it's not even really that good. And Berto, as well as the fighters at 140, all have SPEED...the advantage Pac has been enjoying over ALL of his recent opponents. He WILL get hit. It's obvious Berto can crack, too. There is a measure of risk in these fights. Against JMM....if he lets JMM start to work at all, he could make it competitive. JMM is the better technician, at any weight.

Now, if any of these fights appear more competitive than people expect...that's GOOD FOR BOXING...but, BAD FOR BUSINESS.

berto would get smashed as well as jmm at 140 or 147. might as well fight jmm then since they have unfinished business and could match mosley's name in drawng PPV buys. so if floyd won't fight, i hope there's no complain if pac is fighting jmm.

I've already answered your question but I'll repeat it once more: Berto or JMM. Again, they are the next best choice outside of Floyd and Sergio. If Pac beats either of the two mentioned, he gets full credit. Simple as that. He gets no credit for picking on a senior citizen who is looking for his last huge payday. Seriously, people should be concerned for Mosley's health.

of course they have a chance, but we are looking at a possible competitiveness and i don't see anyone aside from floyd doing it, not right now at pac's current level.

It was from the mouths of your Idol and his promoter themselves. :patsch

    You are changing the subject.

So now its about Floyd being a bigger draw than Pac and doesnt need to fight him then right? Despite how Pacquiao makes more money for him than any other fight out there. So the wise business decision for Floyd is to make less money against fighters that arent as much as a risk Pacquiao then.

pac is the pound 4 pound #1 right? so claiming that since he is the strong favorite, a fight shouldn't be made, is ridiculous...

Wow, I actually found an agreement with a Pac fan today. It's a miracle indeed.

Seriously though, please don't support Pac fighting Shane. The sport of Boxing is losing tons of fans because of matches like this. Pac is a great fighter and he should be challenging B level opponents if A level isn't available. No reason for him to pick on C or D level.
