no, the math shows, that is if you argue the business angle, a 50/50 split with pacquiao isn't necessarily more money than a 70/30 vs. a berto or martinez... and again, the $40 million you quote was from back during the first FAILED negotiations, thus, moot it doesn't matter though, because pac will fight mosley, and you will try and spin it into some sort of unearthly event
we are arguing for a better fight as boxing fans. i can't see it in any of them. jmm is interesting but would not be as high on him these weights. mosley, in his current form would still be a threat to pacquiao in the first few rounds and it would be downhill from that. i am stuggling to find any challenge for pac aside from floyd in his weight range.
maybe you should look at your idol when saying who the #1 cherrypicker really is. he's made his whole career out of it.
You're right it didnt because Pacquiao fought JMM before Floyd was even in the equation. BUT Floyd vs. JMM had everything to do with Pac vs. JMM What was the biggest fight available for Pac that could make more money for Pacquiao given the time? Are you now going to argue that JMM was the biggest $ fight available for Floyd at that time? I agree, Pac vs JMM only had to do with Pac vs. JMM. The same cant be said about PBF vs. JMM being only about PBF vs. JMM. And there are lots of reasons of why Pac JMM 3 should be at 147 but we dont know for sure, maybe Pac is more comfortable at a weight class he doesnt have to cut down weight for, maybe Pac's natural weight has grown into the WW division, Pac has a title there and it can be advertised as a championship bout, maybe team Pacquiao is already starting the mind games with JMM, or whatever they have their reasons. Atleast they gave JMM a window if he really wants the fight instead of totally ignoring him. What difference does it make if its at 140 or 147, you all act like JMM is going to be required to gain weight to fight Pac when he can come in at any weight he wants aslong as it is under the contract weight limit. If Pac hydrates to 148 and JMM hydrates to 145 then what is the problem? What difference does it make if the the contract weight limit is 140 or 147 they will both just rehydrate to the mid-140s. Unless you are banking on Pacquiao to come somewhat weight-drained in the fight to try to even it out. :blood
pac should have no problem cutting 4 pounds....seriously, and most people believe pac to be a better JrWW than WW 140 or it's a joke, and pac is playing weight games to manipulate the fights, like usual and like i said, they won't fight jmm next, he is coming off of 2 nice wins...unlike mosley...so, mosley pac here we come
You work with Team Pacquiao? How do know that for sure? What advantages does Pac have at 147 that he wouldnt have if the fight were at 140? They won't fight him because he isnt the best business option as of right now. Now you're finally thinking what good business is. Took me 7 pages to educate you on it. :good
in regards to the weight, i cannot even take you seriously anymore as far as $...mosley has proven he isn't a draw....and as you claim floyd/mosley was built up over time, so has pac/jmm3 not pac/mosley and the only thing you have educated me on is how much of a spin machine you are
Answer the question. Why is it so important that the fight must be at 140? Does Pac have an advantage at 147 that he doesnt have at 140? Mosley isnt a draw to himself. He's only a draw according to whomever he is matched-up against. Do you believe that 1.4 millions buys is solely attributed to Mayweather? Can Floyd do 1.4million buys fighting someone like Matthew Hatton? Everything I have posted is factual and your argument is waning. I did the math and showed my work. You may not like the answer but it is what it is.
atsch Yes, I understand that are there are other fighters out there, whether they are greater than Pac remains to be seen. I didn't consider Mayweather Jr. because of his INACTIVITY, not because of peculiar behavior. If he was to suddenly find his "urge" I'd consider him #2. I still don't understand why if Pac was to fight Mosley why he'd fall from YOUR #1 position. Just because he's fighting Mosley??? I could understand from your comments, IF IT WAS HIS LAST FIGHT, but that isn't the case. He's stated that he wants to fight till 35. Now, if he stays consistent that's at the very least 4-6 more fights. Now, I ask again "gyll" why would Pac fall just because he fought Mosley? Wouldn't the people under Pac have to do something to exceed him? And to date I haven't seen it. smoke
Damn is Pac really this good? Cotto, Margarito, Hatton, ODLH, Clottey were all "cherry-picked" opponents. God damn, this guy is awesome!
I mention UFC because the Next Generation of kids are watchin more of MMA than boxing..... There cards of Loaded full of fights that are worth the money and that is why it has become a phenomenon in such a short amount of time!
