Pac needs to stick to his guns. Hatton claimed it would have to be 50/50 or nothing. The fact that they budged off that number lets me know that Hatton needs this fight more than Pac does. Mayweather got hoodwinked when he let Hatton get all the U.K money. Pac can't let that greedy ******* Hatton get over on him. He should keep squeezing team Hatton until he gets at least a 55/45 split.

    Hattons greedy? What about Pac?

The fact Hatton budged from the 50/50 split means he wants the fight to happen whereas Pacs appetite for this fight is still open to question.

Reg, just a question. Would you let 5% get in the way of immortality? A chance to sit among the top elite fighters that have ever lived?
Pac will have enough money to feed himself, keep a roof over his head, he may even be able to purchase another home with the amount he could get.

I hate the way Pac's mainly basing his current value on beating the corpse of Delahoya;the most overrated win of the last few years.
Plenty of guys from 135 upwards would have beaten an over the hill part timer who was on a deathcamp diet and training regime to be 147 on fight night.
PFP1 but beating Oscar delcadaver shouldnt add to his bargaining power.

Pac has the upper hand here, he should be getting at least 55%. That's not greedy, that's smart business. Hatton is budgeing from 50/50 because he's desperate. He needs a win like this or their will always be question marks about his career. I have no doubt that Pac has no problem fighting Hatton. However, he's worked too hard and accomplished too much to allow someone like Hatton to dictate negotiations.

Hatton would be Pac's 3rd or 4th best win. Who's Hatton's best win? Old ass Tszyu? Pac is already an all time great. He doesn't need Hatton. Hatton has beaten mostly handpicked fighters. Hatton is the one who is letting money get in the way of his legacy. Hatton might not even be a hall of famed when all is said and done.

Why is everyone around here an expert on the correct EXACT percentage purse splits of a fight all of a sudden? Both Pacs promoter and trainer, who I'd guess know more about these things than the average ESBer, say that 50/50 is a fair split.

You can say Hatton is budging because he's desperate or you can say Pac won't because he doean't really want the fight. Neither is provable or disprovable.

So if Manny defeats Hatton his ATG status would not improve?

**** yourself. I don't give a **** what you take seriously. If Pac ends up getting a split of around 55/45, then you'll see that I knew what I was talking about.

"Worked too hard and accomplished toomuch"?

    And Hatton hasn't worked hard?

Maybe others will agree with me but the only reason Pac is considered P4P #1 is because Mayweather retired. Pac got it by default. He didn't "earn it" per se. If Mayweather was active and didn't retire, smart money says he would still be the king of P4P.

I have yet to see anyone answer this so I will ask it again:

If a Pac/PBF fight is in the future, how will that purse split go? Will Manny try to pull this **** of 60/40 with PBF?

  12. I really don't care, i just want to see the fight.

So if the fight ends up anything from a 50/50 to a 60/40 split and you are going to claim you are some sort of boxing expert??? You really know how to stick your neck out, don't you?

What bothers me is the fact that Pac (supposedly) initially agreed to 50-50. Now he wants more. I can understand wanting more (don't we ALL want "more"?) - but he should have stipulated that right up front, not in the 'eleventh hour'.

He doesn't want the fight. Hatton isn't old enough, hasn't been thru enough wars, is too much of a risk.
