Especially in the Oscar fight- the boxing style and the look Pacs hair was longer and a bit wild- will we see him sporting a beard in future?
Filipino's (in my family at least) seem to have trouble growing a beard. I'm only 1/2 Flip so I'm sporting my winter beard right now. My dad could go a month without shaving and nobody would notice. My **** would be down to my knees by then!
there are some similiarities, but they both originals. both like to go forward and be the aggressors. because of this style, their other boxing skills such as footwork, jabbing, feinting, lateral movement, cutting off the ring, defense, etc. is severely underrated. Duran was already being considered a great BEFORE his fights with Leonard, Hearns, Benitez, or Hagler. how these smaller men adjusted to fighting the bigger men, besides the facial hair, i think is eerily similiar, even tho manny is a southpaw of course. imo duran's speed and stamina was as good as any fighter could get in his first fight with Leonard. He matched Leonard punch for punch and got the better of the exchanges and several times had Sugar Ray in trouble. pressure alone wouldnt of have been enough to beat a fast hard punching atg like Leonard. i've been hearing this from other people as well. pac in many ways also reminds me of roberto:good
I wished Manny had even just 1/4 of Duran's close quarter fighting skills. But yeah, theyre both aggressive, they have that wildman aura about them inside the ring, and they seem to be fine going up numerous weight classes.
I doubt Pac could grow a full beard and if he could then he shouldn't. He would look ****ing weird :rofl
