Sitting here surfing Facebook trying to drink away this day, saw this post just a bit ago, says the khan fight is close? https://www.facebook.com/MannyPacquiao/posts/1666139827023370:0
The comments suggest that this fight is a pile of bull dung. Both guys are looking for some paydays and it just might be good, but those comments underneath are calling both guys out on this money grab. No different from Floyd and Conor though but on a smaller scale. I approve. Khan loves to get paid for KOs & CAT scans.
Pacquiao's resume. What is the trend over the past few years? and when has Arum ever not tried to smack down Khan?
If this fight actually happens, I can't wait to laugh at the Khan haters, but I'm pretty sure it wont because Roach hates Khan.
At least it would make for a much better matchup than Pacman-Horn. Khan could give Manny some trouble. If he stays sharp and focus throughout the fight, it could be a good one.
Roach's arrogance could hurt him here. "Just hit him on the chin" that will be his gameplan... This content is protected The way Pac catches him between shots and after his flurries...beast.
I don't think it will last 12 rounds. Either manny punches with him or time him with a single shot, it will be lights out. I think it will be the later.
Khan has never lost to a southpaw. He started his career almost beating one of the most decorated southpaw olympians of all time. He will finish his career beating one of the most decorated pro southpaws of all time...or end up facedown dreaming of Brook with Virgil Hunter wispering soft words into his ears.
Khan has a chance if this fight is made... Pax don't have that "Ariza' effect to his shots anymore.... I'd etch this
Pacman hasn't had a knockout in quite some time, but if there ever was a time for him to pick up a KO it would def be against Khan. I think Amir's biggest issue (aside from his chin,) is he engages too long in the pocket when it's unnecessary and it puts him in harms way too often. if he can stay disciplined and attempt to fight Manny from a distance, he could pick up some points early on. It's all dependent on if he sticks to a good gameplan or if he starts getting overconfident and attempts to go blow for blow with Pacman. Regardless, this is exponentially better than someone of Manny's ilk fighting Jeff horn.
