That man is a genius of a trainer. Check out this interview. http://fighthype.com/pages/content7546.html?PHPSESSID=a86e4207529b92485e7fc7430225fe72 He said it all along "we're gonna land that right hand and Floyd's going to turn into a dragon". Exactly how the fight went. Nazim is a smart man for capitalizing on the overhand right that Floyd gets caught by. Even Marquez hit him with it. It seems like if you're in the right distance with Floyd and you feint or hit the body he gets vulnerable to that type of shot. Nazim + Roach co-coaching Pac. Now that'd be insane! : D
Doesn't take an expert to say that. Anybody can say it. "Shane's gonna land the right hand, and PBF will become more alert, elusive and pick it up" (really obvious stuff) But he said he will become a dragon, etc, etc so he's now a genius.
Alright when you pan out a fight exactly like that before hand let me know when you're gonna do it. Pretty much everyone thought Floyd would fight defensively. Not Nazim! What other trainer out there can set you up for a big shot like that against Floyd? Roach had his change with Oscar, but he couldn't do it. He's not overrated! I think it takes a lot to gain the peer respect from the Mayweathers, which is something Nazim has achieved.
:rofl the thought of Nazim coaching Pacquiao makes me laugh. I don't think Pac would know what the hell Nazim would be saying half the time.
Nazim is a cool, smart adviser but he got it from the years working with Bouie Fisher and Bernard Hopkins. He did talk well and mentioned one or two things in that fight but he did not help Shane as much... C'mon now, Freddie Roach did give some very good advice to Hopkins when he was taking on assaults from Winky and tried his best to help Hoya capitalize on some Mayweather's habits. Nazim did very well leading Shane to that Margarito affair but Freddie Roach turned a wild brawler into a polished methodical offensive boxer-fighter. All in all, trainers can help them out mostly when they are working with them in the Camp, not on predicting stuff like that. Bert Sugar said precisely the opposite, that Shane could never find Floyd with a right hand but only with a left hook (?) and we all knew Shane would drop that overhand right like he did on Cotto so...
Naz was spot on with his prediction that Shane would hit PBF in the mouth and he would turn into a dragon. This guy knows boxing.
roach did notice and asked oscar to get back to jabbing difference is nazim is alot more vocal in the corner and you can hear him more roach's corner instructions consist of "get back to throwing your jab son".
