I would have thought fans of both Mayweather and Pacquiao would question the decision of signing a contract extension knowing the problems Mayweather has working with Arum and seeing how quickly the Cotto fight was made when he left his stable, unless of course he doesn't want the fight...

I respect Steven A. Smith 100%, but I can`t agree with him on his comments about Leonard Ellerbe. Mayweather has made his demands for years and only after how long has Pacman decided to agree to those demands? Ladies and gentlemen, we live in a business minded world.Is the price of housing the same as it was 10 years ago? Is the price of dope the same as it was 2 months ago, things change. If I offer you in this case 40 million dollars and you refuse it, do you really think I am offering that same deal years later when your stocks have fallen, absolutely not. I think many people including these reporters, journalists, sports show personalities,tend to forget this fact. Pacman can not ever dream of making close to 40 million for a fight but mayweather can b/c he does it.

Now that Pacman agrees to all of mayweather demands and mayweather is basically now saying not so fast, people want to say mayweather is ducking. All that issues about possibly losing, I agree mayweather has more to lose than Pacman. A black man on top of the sport loses his 0, the same thing that defines him, and you guys want him to share the wealth with a guy who was pushed to the forefront fighting men with catchweights, and fighting the same guys over and over again.

Let's just be real about this. I don't think mayweather is scared nor is Pacman. I think for Pac it's more for a payday b/c he can't get it. Mayweather is about his legacy and his standing in the sport as a black man who did it his way, and is still doing it.

He didn't get the credit for the Cotto fight in which Cotto made 8 million up to 23 million for the fight which was made only after he left top rank. Don't you see what is going on here. if you think about it, if he leaves TR, Pac will have to hire a real wheeler and dealer type of manager who will take 20-30% of his guaranteed purse, then Pac and his manager will have to pay their promoter another 20-30% of gross profit plus 10% to the trainer.

right now, of his guaranteed purse, he only needs to pay 10% to roach and maybe a total of 2-3% to his conditioner and cutman. Pac may actually be making more than the other model.

 

Pac could still make the fight with Arum as his promotor. mayweather can have TMT and use Twitter to market the fight.

TMT was a ***** faliure of epic proportions. Floyd can't even manage his own outfit. It was Floyd who was dragging his feet while 50 cent was trying to get things done.

Dumb move....first of all PAC is a congressman and he ain't got time to be promoting like that. Arum probably promise him 20 mills plus a fight so he's cool with that. Plus he knows with Arum or not Floyd health is going to come first.
