Pac stops him. He still has enough to dominate Loma. Loma will be dealing with an atheletic specimen in there. Horn was a lot bigger and a fouler, pac losing to subpar dirty fighters is nothing new - look at Agapito Sanchez fight. So I don’t think his “loss” to horn is any reflection to his current level.
Just wondering, why do you think it makes sense for PAC? Do you think he's got a better shot than it appears on paper? Or do you think it will make more money as a cash out than it looks? I'd love to see it, but unless I'm missing something, which is possible, I don't think it makes the most sense for him.
It was part that, he just didn't have the stamina anymore. This is a guy who was throwing 1200+ punches per fight to now 500. However, Horns weight, leaning and wrestling certainly didnt help his stamina. Horn was very awkward too, he would throw punches, rush in and fall over Pac so he didnt have a chance to counter. Pac still won but Horn made enough of an impression to the judges. Loma can't do that, Loma is a lot like Pac in a way, very clean fighter, southpaw, uses angles, punches in combinations - it'll be exciting to see how they can control their angles since Pac use to be the guy who would punch you from all angles.
loma destroys pac at this point in pacs career. if your not eat sleeping boxing he cant beat horn let alone loma. only thing pac has going for him is his size.
Pac won, but he LOOKED like he got the **** beat out of him by Horn... He had two huge cuts from headbutts that bled the whole fight. Also didn't help that Pac goes flying whenever someone bumps into him.
Horn would get schooled, but he is a lot bigger than Loma, and it would make it though. Would be a fun one. (I hope Loma can develop into a good sized WW)
Horn is waaaay bigger than Pacquiao too. For the first time in almost 15 years Pacquiao could fight somebody his own size. This will be an indication of actually how shot he really is. And how much his performance decline the last 10 years has just been due to the sheer massive size advantage his opponents had.
Loma should fight somebody from his top 10 or else he'll end up moving to 135 and leaving another division he was never the man of.
True. But he has definitely slowed down, and drastically so. Against Bradley(rubber match), who is not really bigger than Pacquiao himself, he only threw 400 something punches. Pacquiao threw nearly 800 vs Cotto... Loma is a highly active fighter, something Pacquiao can no longer sustain. It would be an easy night for Loma.(at this stage)
Loma paints. And doesn't bring underrated welterweight power (Bradley/Floyd), good power (Rios/Vargas/Horn) or big thudding power (Roidquez/Cotto). Pac will walk through Loma's combos and catch him. We may just see something resembling the prime (had to avoid using the word old here - lol) version of Pac.
He can punch if he wants to. Look how he sat down on his punches vs Martinez. Pac is washed up, he cant sustain any real offense. And has Loma ever been knocked down?
