I didn't notice that in the Oscar fight. Nor did I notice it in the Cotto one. Or Clottey.

But I agree though, if the Magarito that fought Cotto turns up, then Pacquiao will be in for a loooooong night.

 

Stop posting nonsense. Pacroid was not tired after round 6. He was just getting started.

Of course Margarito will put up more resistance than DLH.
DLH fought a reactive type of a fight, meaning he was in front of Pacquiao wanting to react to the quicker, faster fighter.

If you're significantly less quicker and faster, you just cant stand there center ring trying to react to what your opponent is doing.
You have to have a game plan in place that strategizes that you're going to do x, y, and Z.....
.....which could mean many things, such as jab your way in....
.....put the pressure on by advancing.....
.....throw in the midst of his punches.....
.....punch to the body even if it means having to get hit.....

One thing about DLH, he was never about and never fought in a style where he had to take punishment to get his shots off. He just was not accustomed to that, and that way he fought Pacquiao showed it.

With Margarito, at least you know that he's a fighter thats willing to eat the punishment in order to get his own punches off.
He's willing to sacrifice his being in order to put himself in a position to contend for the victory.

......because of that, of course Margarito has a much better chance vs Pacroid.

I've already explained myself quite a few times on the matter.
With Margarito, he was cooperative from the very time the the inspector at the scene told him to unwrap the hand that had already been fully wrapped.....
While Capetillo (Margs trainer) protested......and this is the account of the actual inspector, Margarito outstretched his hand and instructed Capetillo to unwrap him.

......on the other foot, thats not quite what Pacroid did now did he???
Weak excuses all through the first negotiation......and then determined to have windows of non-testing.


Plain and simple, Margarito never hid from anyone and fully cooperated.
Pacroid was looking for windows to leap in and hide.



......and btw, my using Pacroid in this discussion is to highlight that wearing down a fighter who's on Performance enhancers is not going to be as easy as the way Margarito wore down Cotto, who was very much showing the effects of the body punishment from Margarito in the very early mid rounds.

 

I agree. I too think they'll implement the same strategy they used in the Oscar fight, but maybe a little more aggressive now that they know Pac is durable at these higher weights. My only concern is if Pacquiao goes all macho, and and invites Margarito to exhchanges.

I'm not a betting man, but I don't think Margarito will be winning this one.
