Who cares if the score was even. The third fight was meaningless and a waste of time. Morales was all but shot at that point whereas Marquez is still a formidable opponent. It's a legit question, why pac was willing to fight morales for a third fight when it didn't pose a serious threat and not Marquez who is still capable of beating him? Although, pac is probably not the one who decides his opponents.

one question. if pac fought marquez instead of oscar and hatton would he be the popular fighter he is today.

we all want to see that fight but he is fighting tougher guys than marquez right now. he is about to fight cotto then mayweather.

you seem to have a case of wishful thinking. he hasnt even fought a welterwieght at 147. hes fighting cotto at 145. the only guy he fought at 147 was dlh when dlh belonged at 154

Well, I don't see why he couldn't fight Hatton and Hoya after a third Marquez fight, unless he were to lose:yep. Like you, I don't think pac would win so I agree with your assumption that he would not have fought Hoya and Hatton. From a boxing fans point of view, I really don't care how popular or how much money a boxer makes. I pay the ppv and for the tickets so all I care about is being entertained. However, I don't think pac would be as popular if he had fought Marquez a third time as I feel he would have lost.

Pac was neither willing nor unwilling to fight Morales a third time. As I stated already, Morales was the one who chose to exercise the rematch clause for a 3rd match, so Pacquiao was forced to take this fight contractually.

some people forgot or are just choosing to forget that it was team morales who has all the options for the rematch clause in their trilogy.

the closest thing is at 130 where he beat morales, barrera and marquez. he's just about a guzman or a valero win away at the weight so as to say that he "cleaned" 130.

That may be true but Arum would have set up the fight regardless. Team morales also consist of Arum so the rematch clause made no difference. Like I said, it wasn't pacman's call so he should not be blame for it.
