    source... da ____ scene...

Filipino boxing icon and the acknowledged hero of Asia, Manny, is expected to decide on the proposed fight against WBO WW champ Cotto within the next 2 days.

Pac adviser Koncz said he and lawyer Gacal where scheduled to meet with Pac on Wednesday night to go through the proposal forwarded to Pac by TR promoter Arum.

Koncz who hand-carried the proposal after meeting Arum in the US felt it was a good proposal but made it clear that the final decision rests with Pac and nobody else.

Koncz said Pac was attending to some matters in Sarangani province from where he plans to run for a seat in the H of Rep in May 2010. However, the adviser said "we will have a final closing on the agreement, hopefully Thursday."

At the same time Arum who is vacationing in Italy was unhappy with Gacal's statments to the media that should Cotto refuse to drop down in weight there is always SSM to turn to since SSM has said he would agree to fight Pac, take a 40% share and come down to 143.

He is enjoying this attention a bit much, in my opinion.

If he picks Cotto, he gets steamrolled. If he picks Shane he gets beaten mercilessly from pillar to post. His manager has put him in a lose-lose with all of this yapping and ****.

It should be at the Welterweight limit. Big bad "Pound 4 Pound king" Pacquiao should fight for Cotto's belt and go up. Not this catchweight crap.

if cotto really wants to have a crack at the P4P king financially and legacy wise, he has to make concessions and the risk of losing his belt at least at 145 lbs above, i agree below that is stretching a bit too much already..
