Pac to face Martinez-Williams winner!

Roach and Arum won't put Pacquiao in the same ****ing AIR SPACE as Williams and Martinez. If by some Miracle this happens, how much anyone wants to bet, the "Catchweight" (cuz there will be one...TRUST THAT ****) will be at some ridiculous weight like 142lbs or some ****!!!

And even if it did Mayweather would not be the best boxer ever since there are boxers who have more fights who were undefeated. Calzaghe went 46, Marciano went 49, or Ricardo Lopez at 51. Now these guys are good but no one would actually say they are the best purely off being undefeated. Marciano is probably the highest on the list and he doesn't even hold the top HW spot. Most have him around a respectable 3rd in terms of HW behind Ali and Louis. Some may argue higher some lower. Either way he does not get the top spot simply for being undefeated. This is actually kind of tragic for him since he did fight a lot of the top fighters of his time, but still not a strong enough resume at the top.

So given that you want to tell me Mayweather ranks above SRR who is basically universally considered the best boxer ever given the fact he has missed many of his top fights. And you want to rank him as such solely on him being undefeated and I say you are crazy. Being undefeated is a bonus but it is not necessary or sufficent to be the best in the business. Oh and I'd like to say if we're just going undefeated streak Pep who is in everyones top 10 went 62 fights before losing his first fight. Then went another 72 before losing to Saddler. Now that was a fighter. But he isn't up on top purely because of that undefeated streak it is because he took on amazing challanges Saddler being the biggest.

To be the best you have to take on the best challenges. Mayweather simply hasn't and to compare him to the likes of Robinson or Ali men who actually took on exceptional challenges and overcame them is just wrong. Ali KOed Foreman when Foreman was seen as a near invincible force of destruction. This was in a fight that it was expected Ali would lose. The young Foreman was supposed to be too much for the aged Ali, but he did it because he had talent and heart.

Mayweather has shown he has talent, whether its a consequence of good fight making or he is legitamately one of the most talented boxers ever is up to debate. What he hasn't shown is heart. Or balls for that matter. The fact that he went on vacation for 2 years while both at the peak of his career and as his division was warming up should tell you something. Just because you think you will win is not an excuse to not fight. Everyone thought Tyson would beat Douglas he didn't. Everyone thought Foreman would beat Ali, he didn't. The list goes on for upsets or cases of another fighter just being better then everyone thought he was. Or in some cases the big gun not being as good as everyone thought he was. I mean look at Zab Judah people were saying he was amazing back in the day. And he just didn't live up to his potential. He steps up and while everyone thought he would win he loses. Yeah Mayweather isn't Zab and yeah Mayweather has accomplished a decent amount, but until he steps up and fights guys who are a major threat it is premature to call him GOAT. And given his long absence from boxing and his unwillingness to fight more then once a year he just can't make up the deficit. He lost 2 years of his peak to 1 vacation. Losing another year to this one. That's 3 years off. Now could he climb a lot sure, Ali did when he got back his license. But he can't go anywhere unless he actually takes those challenges.

Ok turdman you maybe got a good argument there. I can respect that, but how do you measure "heart"? Answer that. If people keep on saying "heart this, heart that" then we have the Johnny Tapias and rank Rocky Balboa at #1. Boxing is an exact science. And it is a sweet one. There is math involved. No time for emotional Johnny Drama for a sport like this. Ok I may be stretching a bit to put Floyd as GOAT at this point, but I have him in the top three to say the least. Two maybe. He has done so much for the sweet science that all pure boxers and fans want to imitate. Ok Twirdman :good
