both fights were close and both sides have a legitimate claim to having won.
in the first fight i was more impressed with jmm for fighting such an impressive fight after getting knocked down 3 times and doing it with a broken nose (something the likes of vasquez and cotto were not big enough to do). for this very reason i think jmm has all the qualities of a great champion. i dont know yet how pac would react in a similar situation but i have a feeling we will get a chance soon and then we can see what his insides are made of. still, neither one established himself as superior to the other.
the second fight i would have to give to jmm on points as i think he did enough to win over a pac who was rumoured to have drastically improved in all aspects of his game.
at the end of the day, neither one of these 2 will be remembered as better than the other because they are so evenly matched and no matter who wins a third fight there will be to many variables that will come into play such as age, fluctuations in weight, ring wear etc...
i say love them both, they both deserve it.
