Since Khan really believes that his long trips to the Philippines to train alongside the greatest boxer Manny Pacquiao was the cause of his latest defeat... the legendary Manny Pacquiao whose kind-heartedness beats that of Mother Theresa decided to train in LA for his next bout so Khan won't look for other reasons when he gets his ass kicked sooooo embarrassingly badly the next time around. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/pacman-to-train-at-wild-card-129792
Nothing about Khan was said. & Amir is looking for a trainer who can work on his defence, not just commit to him.
Dose Khan live in L.A. now? I'm no geography expert, but I'm pretty sure L. A. is just as far from England as the Philippines are. If not farthur away.
Why does PAC need to train in the Philippines anyway he is better off training in la esp. If he fights in Vegas
The issue is probably that he has to go from England to the Philippines (or possibly LA then the Philippines) and back to LA to the wildcard. He brought up the trips multiple times in interviews. He said the traveling may be taking a toll in camp, and that he needed more priority attention to develop his defense better.
Yeah, but I don't think he was implying that was the sole reason for his loss. He just mentioned it has one of the many things he'll be looking to change.
Yeah you're right on that part. I think he just needs more time with Roach. I'd respect his decision to go with someone else, but the problem is more about discipline than it is about mechanics. His control of distance serves as a great defensive tool when he uses it. When he doesn't, his lack of discipline becomes his downfall. If you look at the Garcia fight, even though Garcia was tagging him early in the few early rounds, Khan was far enough to see the punch coming and roll with it slightly, or just take it as it had little leverage on it from so far out. It was only when he reached in and left himself open with an out of place uppercut Garcia hit him on the button with full leverage.
khans best defense is to stop trying to brawl like he thinks he got a chin. hes not a bad fighter, he just gives up too much when he goes toe to toe.
He has to limit his "working" time in the US to take advantage of a tax loophole. Can't say I blame him, **** taxes. :yep
should be better for both. his best results were when they were in LA full camp. He either needs to retire or get serious.
