Pac looked pretty comfortable against De La Hoya at 148.5.

Its not Pac. Theres a massive difference on a prime Cotto and a past prime DLH.

yes, he looked great against oscar, but why after that fight they (team pac) said that they're going to campaign at 140? because they knew that 147 is not pac's comfort zone. he's too small for that division

Full Credit for both. Cotto weighed 146 against clottey at the weigh in so 145 wont drain him and it makes it fairer for pac who could only make 142 against DLH

This weight will only favor Cotto...I give PAC credit now for taking the fight at that weight but its clear now Cotto will K.O PAC.

Cotto will apply to much pressure for PAC to handle. Cotto a naturally bigger fighter will wear PAC down...Late K.O. by Cotto.

I generally always give fighters credit for wins and don't like to bring up "circumstances". Such as "his opponent was past his prime", "catchweight drained him", etc.

I think it's one of the worst things boxing fans can do to undermine their own sport, to not give fighters credit for solid wins, no matter what the circumstance.

In other sports, you just don't see it as much. If a team is down their best player for a big game in football, baseball, etc. You don't see fans a year down the road talking about how a certain team didn't have their best player.

What difference is two pounds? Cotto could go to the toilet and lose two pounds

I would give both guys full credit. Cotto will not be drained (only losing one more pound from where he was against Clottey), so no excuses if he loses. If he beats Pac, then he gets credit for dethroning a man perceived by many as the p4p king.

I do fear that if he wins though; the Pac Clan will say it was because he was too big and forced Pac to fight at 145. I will all be bull****; but we'll hear it if Pac loses.
