As promised on another thread a couple of days ago, I have re-watched & re-scored the Manny Pacquiao/Juan Manuel Marquez rematch........

1- Marquez 10-9 (fairly even but solid right hand by JMM takes rd)

2- Marquez 10-9 (again evenly contested but great left hook wobbles Pacman right at the end to take rd)

3- Pacquiao 10-8 (Looks as if JMM is getting into his rhythm but super left hook by Pac puts him down near end, he gets up & they exchange, Pac gets better of it to take the rd big)

4- Pacquiao 10-9 (JMM counters well but I liked Pac`s aggressive attacks sensing that JMM still wasnt fully recovered from rd 3)

5- Marquez 10-9 (repeated right hands while taking minimum contact in return win the rd for JMM)

6- Marquez 10-9 (again JMMs right hand counters land more frequent & solidly than the ragged attacks of Manny)

7- Even 10-10 (I couldnt split them, I liked Pac`s energetic attacks to body & head but JMM continually answered with counters, Pac looked a bit tired in the last 30 or so secs)

8- Marquez 10-9 (almost a 10-8 rd for JMM, he hardly took a shot while landing constantly to both body & head, even pushing Pac back at times, a particular body shot & straight right hand badly hurt Manny, he looks ready to be taken)

9- Pacquiao 10-9 (unbelievable comeback from the warrior known as Pac, he outlands JMM, darting in & out throughout landing some heavy shots & it looks as if JMM is very tired now)

10- Pacquiao 10-9 (Pac picks up from where he left off, he takes a few hard shots but all in all outlands JMM while landing the more solid blows)

11- Marquez 10-9 (Manny takes too long to pick up the pace & JMM fights at his own pace, countering most of Pacmans best efforts, a few decent punches from Pac right at the end arent enough to win him the rd as JMM controlled the majority of it)

12- Marquez 10-9 (suprisingly Manny doesnt go all out but does come forward but every time he lands, JMM lands 1 or 2 back & there are even points where JMM pushes forward & lands combinations, those combinations + 1 or 2 well placed right hands take a close but clear enough rd for JMM)

    115-113 Marquez

    :thumbsup

I judged this fight and had marquez winning 115-113...I think marquez won but could see and would be fine with it going pacquiaos way.

The poll for my post was 77-69 in favor of pacman...Its fair to say people are split; not all believing marquez won.

Pac won the rematch because of that third round KD, which many will argue is actually a double KD since marquez hang on the ropes after a pac barrage before the end of the round.

The 10th or 11th chapter of this kind.

A win is win. JMM got the L in his ledger.

Pacquiao won this fight, it was definitely close and I can understand all the posts, I have Pacquiao by one point. Posted my scorecard right after the fight as I scored while watching, I first had Marquez by one point as I gave him the last round then saw the last round again and believe Pacquiao did more.

The polls right after the fight are a better indicator of how the fans truly feel, and JMM won those rather handily in every boxing website conducting one.

The polls now are more a popularity contest.

The classic forum for example did a poll a few days after the fight, and had JMM winning that poll handily about 3 votes for every one vote for Pacquiao.

Polls today well after the fights been done are useless.
Back when the fight had taken place, I challenged everyone in this forum to show me any forum poll that had Pacquiao the winner, and I did'nt get a single response!

Another PacDbest ****, who does'nt stick by his original score and changes his mind on second viewing!:patsch :nut

PacDbest scored the fight a draw, then the next day suprised that some had scored for Pacquiao, changes the scoring of one of the rounds and gives the fight to Pacquiao!:rofl :rofl :rofl

If PacDbest scores the fight a draw, you dont need any more of an indicator to know who really won the fight!:deal

The last round to Pacquiao???:rofl :rofl :rofl :nut

This is one of those fights that was very close and could have gone either way and the scoring of the fight reflects this so i dont mind either way...

I had it for MARQUEZ btw

Quit crying. Accept the fact that the judges who were a few feet away from the action are the ones authorized to score on the fight, not forum inhabitants who have their own biases. Move on, crying won't change the fact in the record that Marquez lost by SD.
