Nope, I can't see HBO doing that kind of promo for this fight.

 

they wont need it to hype up a real fight....24/7 hypejobs are for people that lie to their fans about "how they're gonna fight like warriors" etc etc, then get into the ring and fight a safety first type of fight.....

 

I really hope they do. I love those shows. They make my whole week.

Nah, there won't be a 24/7 for this. They only do those if one of the fighters speak semi-decent english.

You're a fight fan, but for some reason you don't want Manny and Margo on HBO every single week attracting more fans to the sport.. You make sense :good And I know you and many other "fight fans" live in a damn fantasy world where PPV buys and gates don't mean anything, but if you were a real fan, you would care and be aware that stuff like that is what's going to determine if the biggest fight in our sport ever gets made.

 

i would love for them to have a 24/7, but they dont need it is what i was trying to say....i aint gonna cry if they dont have one, i know how hbo works and if they dont wanna cough up time and money for them, then i really dont give a ****.......

 

This is what I don't get, why do "they not need to have one" for this fight? I don't understand what that even means. It will help sell the fight, so many casual fans like the 24/7 shows, it is maybe the best thing to happen for boxing in recent memory. But for some reason you don't think they need one for this fight. So remember you said that, and after this fight does 700k buys.....then negotiations fall through because Pac won't take anything less than 50/50 we will go through all of this again.

 

they simply dont have the personality for a "t.v. show"...the fans you are talking about are the fans that get hyped with floyds attitude even though they know he aint gonna fight a fightfans fight, but they love hearing about warrior this and warrior that, and i'm gonna kill that mutha****a in the ring etc etc.........sort of like calzaghe and jones, how in the **** did 24/7 help them out exactly ??? it didnt, all it did was give "casual fans" a reason to talk **** about them cause they dont smoke crack, hit girls, cuss, and disrespect the boxing world........

margo and pac are warriors with gentlemen hearts, so if anything, all them "casual fans" you speak of wont be tuning in....but the real fightfans will on fightnight, which IMO is what matters......

 

So what 'real fight fans' will tune-in because they know margo and pac bring it!

If they dont do a 24/7, they should atleast do a countdown!
