Very interested to know if we would be having these ridiculous 7th world title threads if paul williams was the undisputed welterweight champion ? or would we be hearing the same catchweight crap over and over again like we are now ??
The 6ft 3inch stick man shouldn't be fighting in the Welterweight Division. He's a joke. Stop picking on midgets and go and pick on fighters your own size. (and yes I know OFFICIALLY he's allowed to fight in the WW and rightfully should be as he weighs 147 on the scales - doesn't mean he should though.)
Believe it or not, there once was a WELTERWEIGHT taller than Williams... he's now the WBA CW champion. Go look him up.
So your saying his natural size advantages in a strong welterweight division aren't fair? He's no different in that respect to Tommy Hearns. At the end of the day if he weighs in at 147 on the scales same as the other fighter does then i dont see how hes 'picking on midgets' hes just taking advantage of his ability to make weight. Paul Williams is far from a joke. :-(
funny how quiet the pacman fans are...........for a guy that is gonna destroy cotto, mosley and floyd i would have thought williams would have been a fairer fight for him maybe they could fight at 138 for williams jr middle crown if/when he wins it
I honestly do not think Pac gets beat up in this fight, he is a very small welter, look at the trouble Quintana gave Paul and Manny is smaller, sometimes being that big is a disadvantage and I know Roachs style enough to know that they would make it a disadvantage. Not saying Pac wins But I doubt he gets killed its hard to find a smaller man in there.
Now that would be an example of a bigger Pacquiao moving up 40+ pounds but in divisions north of 147.
This "put pacquiao against everyone" threads make me laugh. Who cares, it doesn't matter, Williams is a 6'2 6'3 guy, and if Pac can't beat him, it's no big deal, it's a physicial mismatch and absolutely NO SHAME in that. What about Hearns vs Williams . It's hilarious cause Williams is even taller than Hearns! atsch. Hearns KO1 though.
