Arum mentioned the possibility before the Ruslan fight. Great performance by Algieri, but he needs 2 or 3 fights with bigish names before that fight happens. It will ABSOLUTELY not sell, and although it seems like Algieri's style might give Pac a couple problems, Algieri isn't ready yet...thoughts?

The fact that it would be in-house as always outweighs everything else from the TR perspective.

I wouldn't put anything past that trio(roach, arum, PAC). His career is winding down, he does big business in Macau. I don't think arum is too concerned about America when Asia is a huge market. He could fight anyone in Asia and do good numbers.

It's a good fight but definitely won't sell.

Allgirly is a dude that i added to the "will never watch again" list.

If this joke of a fight happens i'll not be watching it.

    Hopefully it wont.

This would be the biggest mismatch ever. Ruslan has been shown to have trouble with movers, Herrera beat him. Would anyone want Pac-Herrera? No. Pacquiao is not Ruslan, he would DESTROY Algieri. He schooled Bradley. There's levels to this.

Ya guys like him, Pauline, Molina, ottke, get no love at my place. I can appreciate they have skill but I have no interest in watching a fight where the victor is incapable of hurting his opponent.

Thing is I think it could be an ok fight when Algieri gets a couple more bigger fights under his belt but he's not ready yet at all and WOW will this fight lose money if made right now. Maybe in a year it's different

I don't think it does lose money James. PAC will get 400k minimum buys and do great in the Asian market.

Bad fight for an ATG who is still on the P4P list like Pacquiao.

If Pac dropped to 140 and fought for Algieri's belt at JWW, that would help out the significance a little in my mind as opposed to bringing him up to WW.

While Pacquiao does struggle with true boxers, I'm just not sure that Algieri is remotely proven enough to deserve the shot.

There are 15 guys at WW who warrant the opportunity more and would be greater victories for Pacquiao.

Algieri is not affiliated with TR in any shape or form.

Banner Promotions however has options on him. TR was affiliated with the bout, because TR still had an option on Ruslan for the Alvarado fight.

would be a great fight between an old grizzled veteran and a young hungry titlist coming off a great performance.

has paq ever won major title at 140? I know he beat Hatton for linear title and IBO.
