Benavidez is some prospect. I saw his khan, dallas & porter spar, he handled dallas & porter pretty easily and Khan spar was even.

In this vid he seems to have gotten the better of Pac, but it seems very clear Pac is just playing around. I think the vid is pre-Clottey and you can see Pac practicing that double punch!

Benavidez looks good. Solid combinations. Obviously he was trying to impress a little more than Pacquiao there, but he did the job to an extent, so... Thanks for the video man, I'll have to look out for this guy...

Great combinations, but let's be real...Pac was toying with him to an extent. Even showboating . When Pac wanted to land on him, the kid took some leather.

But no shame in that. And although Pac was letting the kid throw whatever he wanted, they were some pretty sweet combos. Love the body work.

I think Benavidez may be Roach's best prospect, I dont think he has Khan's chin. Not the same speed but he throws combinations really well, like Pac & Khan...they all seem to apply a similar offense.

For those who hasn't seen some if his sparring and fights:

    Shawn Porter vs Jose Benavidez

    Mike Dallas vs Benavidez:

Cant seem to find the Khan-Benavidez spar, pretty sure Ive seen it before.

Good vid, enjoyed that. Of course it is very clear pac was not tying in the slightest however lets not take away too much from what Benezidez was showing there. Really like his jab, hard, straight and accurate. The way he puts his combinations together is a joyto behold in any fighter, never mind a 17 year old. Seems to throw with dangerous intent.

Definetly looks a star of the future, roach will bring him along the right speed as well.

Looks an extremely good prospect, who has looked solid in all four of his fights. Look forward to seeing him tested in the future!

His skills are there. I think he needs to work on being smarter, though.

It seems like Pac can catch him when he wants with superior timing.

Then again it's just sparring, and they're obviously working on certain things so judging anything from this video is pointless. : )

Well, obviously he wasn't trying hard, but Pacquiao got popped quite a few times.

Looks like Pac was training to take shots. Don't see anything really telling. Just like that 6 year old kid on 24/7. Cool to watch but it doesn't mean anything.
