I really don't need to see the foregone conclusion that is Pac-JMM III right now. JMM can get some big paydays without being brutalized by Pac by fighting the likes of Morales and/or Khan. Although I haven't exactly been a proponent of Bradley getting the Pac opportunity either - and really would prefer it if he and Khan would fight so 140lb superiority can be established - he represents a far more compelling stylistic match-up for Pac at this stage than does JMM, imv. So I am now officially campaigning for Pacquiao-Bradley 11/2011, I guess. :happy
Pac Bradley..Bradley will never get on his bicycle against the pacman. we'll probably see Pac against a 38 year old JMM..again.
Either would be fine. With JMM you are guaranteed to have an exciting fight. With Bradley you never know. These african americans are either ducking or fighting like pussies right now. Altho I believe Timmy is not the type to quit like a coward.
Based on ring craft alone i give Marquez a better chance of a) beating Pacquiao (JMM is still the underwhelming underdog IMO) , and b) seing the final bell , Bradley is just not that good , he is not on the level of these men , forget weight and size , Marquez and Pacquiao are cut from different cloth to the likes of Bradley , Khan , Alexander , Berto , Ortiz etc etc , there just on different levels . Look for Pacquiao Marquez 3 to happen in November with Khan Bradley taking place in December and look for Manny to fight Bradley in a career finishing fight May 13
Pac-JMM does seem as if it's a virtual inevitability, I just don't like it because until JMM proves that can be competitive at 140(+), the weight disparity will always come into question if/when Pac easily beats him; thus, Pac will never get his due credit. At least Bradley is a true 140lb fighter, (arguably the best LWW) so the weight argument is negligible by comparison.
Neither. JMM cannot compete above 135. Bradley's huge dome would pose a threat, but other than that, it's Pac by KO. Both of these fights are a waste of time.
I'd rather watch JMM Vs. Bradley, with the winner getting the payday against the Pac-Man. But we all know that won't happen. Seems like Marquez is looking to fight David Diaz in June, Then If he wins chasing Pac in Nov.
This. pac fans arent afraid of any opponent for Pac, we actually just want a proven fighter to take on Pac. JMM at 140+ isnt proven. Id much prefer Bradley/Martinez.
I dont get this. JMM has managed to convince himself and the fans that hes good enough to take on possibly the best JWW/WW/JMW in the world....yet he wont even take on a top 10 JWW/WW? I mean if he was that confident in those higher weights and PBF was a 1 off, theyw ouldnt have backed out of fighting Khan at 140 and they would make big money fights with bradley or Ortiz. Instead hes making small time change with Juan Diaz 2, Katsidis and now David Diaz?
I'm with you bro.. Don't get it either, If it was up to me (Promo hat) I'd make JMM Vs. Bradley or Judah ASAP. (Both are ready & looking for a fight) Whoever get's the fight (Judah/Bradley), Then serve the other to Amir.. (No disrespect to either Bradley & Judah but they are the b-side to both JMM & Khan) That said, Timmy is one of fav's right now + I think his style would make fireworks against Marquez as opposed to either Khan & Pacquaio for instance.
I prefer pac v bradley, but pac v jmm III is the more marketable fight, so that is the one that will happen.
Granted, JMM is a better fighter than Bradley and just about better than all of the fighters campaigning between the 140-147 divisions (P4P), but that doesn't necessarily translate to his possible effectiveness fighting at that weight range. The reality is that JMM is very much hittable and has been badly hurt on several occasions against smaller and lesser skilled fighters who aren't as powerful as Pac. IMO, he should first prove himself against a formidable 140lb opponent before being given an opportunity against the best fighter at that weight range. +1 :thumbsup
