Im sure they win in the future. Everyone knows cinco de mayo is a big boxing weekend. Fliyd learned that **** fron hoya. Funny how the *******s were saying the date would have no effect on the ppv sales in a fight between pac and fliyd because neither is mexican.

But aside from DLH/Floyd, their numbers against SIMILAR opponents are basically identical? Manny did like 400k better with Marquez, Floyd did 200k better with Mosley, and 250k better with Cotto, and like 50k better with Hatton.

I wouldn't begin to compare Ortiz with Bradley. . It was pretty evidence how popular Ortiz was by the support he had at MGM Grand. . He was the HEAVY crowd favorite. . . Mexican-American on Mexican Independence Day? Nahh.

If FLoyd was never willing to accept 50/50 based on his numbers with DLH, it'd make more sense. . But he was willing to accept 50/50 after the fact.

    This shouldn't change much

This is a really really bad number if it is true! If anyone is celebrating such a **** number they are not really fans of the sport. This once again is all Arums fault, he picked the opponent (who had just brought in house to set up this fight), he picked the date ( which could conflict with Basketball and Hockey Playoffs and the big football tournament in Europe. then on top of all that he screws Pac over. That whole event was ****ing **** for the sport . . . thanks uncle bob

700,000 demanded refunds after hearing the decision and got them. Only 800,000 didnt know you can get your refund for that.

One thing is odd, and can be looked at one of two ways: Arum is not talking about "how many buys have been calculated. . ." and how "we expect to do *insert large number here* once all buys are counted."

It could be looked at that Booby actually wants to keep the hush-hush because the buy rate is very high, and he wants to wait to say anything about it to surprise everybody. . .

Or, it could mean that the buys aren't tracking very well. . .

i mean this was kind of expected no? Bradley doesn't have a fan base. I think its funny how people keep harping on canelo being that big of a factor in floyds last ppv numbers. Lets wait and see when canelo actually headlines a big ppv against ortiz how many buys he actually brings to the table.

Well I look at it like this, the fact so many actually gave a damn about the fight to stay in and watch it points to it being a more attractive fight to casuals than first thought. You'd think celebs would have a hundred other things they could do on a Saturday night if the fight wasn't that appealing. Of course, we're not talking exact science here lol, but I'd like to think if it appealed to a big variety of celebs that would carry over to numbers of normal casuals.

That's why it own't happen. . . Def. not now. . . Floyd will have another excuse to not give Pac his fair share. . .

I understand boxing is a business, but I think sometimes what separates the great, from the good, is taking risks, and sometimes putting your legacy over money. . . Floyd would still make more than he could make against another opponent doing 50/50. . But I think Floyd should get 55%. . 55/45 is very fair based on how much they each bring to the table for their fight. . .

lol, i overlooked that..could be right, though I doubt most of them were. I remain optimistic it does over a million, it wasn't just the celebs, ticket sales were about the same as Mayweather-Ortiz, which is low for Pac but still good, and I'm expecting a good prop up from the after-fight PPV buys with the controversy around it.
