You mean PacMan-Guzman? Freddy Roach said they will never EVER fight Joan Guzman. Simply put: they won't make a fight they will lose (according to the trainer).

He said Campbell. Why wouldn't he mean Campbell? They are both lightweights at the moment. :huh

Oh I get it. You're saying that like Guzman over Campbell is A) a foregone conclusion and B) means that Pacquiao can't fight Campbell if he loses.

Neither A or B is rock solid.

campbell is already fighting guzman while jmm and casa are busy with each other. kats is fighting juan diaz... that leaves only either a valero or hatton fight if the magic man steps aside in nov. for pac.

Makes sense but do you think Hatton will take this fight? All this talk about how good is Manny at 135? Well hes really fast and still has pop in his walk. Id like to see this fight only because I know Hatton will be beaten by the smaller man. Then I know he would retire after loosing

I got a feeling Pac would KO Campbell rather easily, similar to Diaz. Comes straight at you.

i dunno. maybe hatton will since it will be a very big money fight just like his fight w/ pbf. he also may want a very prominent name in his resume in pac being the #1 p4p fighter if he wins but risk being accused of being a bully in the process. hatton seems to be in a no-win situation here in terms of legacy though. if he wins, he will be accused of beating on a much smaller guy. if he loses, his stock plummets and his legacy diminished. so, the main motivation for hatton here seems to be the money.

another thing is that a possible loss to the "magic man" will virtually scuttle a big money fight w/ pac. is hatton willing to risk losing a very big money fight by fighting malignaggi? he could decide to forego the malignaggi fight and take on pac instead for this reason.

hatton and his team were already quoted as saying that they are interested in a fight w/ pac. dunno if they still feel the same way after seeing the results of pac's first fight as a 135-lber.

pac v campbell should happen if campbell and pac get through their next fights (valero and guzman)
