According to the very reliable website which talks about boxing, the fight is a go for 13 march 2009. This was a great move by Arum.It shows that Pac is willing to fight tough opposition and that he is not a difficult person to negotiate with.Pac does what a number one pound for pound fighter should do.

Floyd who has been criticised for his opposition during the last years. He will have to fight someone as tough as clottey or his reputation will be further tarnished. Funny, how Pac takes on those big welterweight without fear yet Floyd who is the natural bigger man and has been a welterweight for a long time does not and finds excuses.

It is a irrelevant who is to blame for the Pac vs Floyd fiasco.

Please explain how this is a better move than agreeing to a 14 day out blood test and fighting PBF?

with pacquiao fighting march 13th then i very much doubt floyd will be fighting at all in march...which will hopefully give shane mosley a higher chance

mayweather-mosley pisses all over pacquiao clottey

True! But even better is if those two fights happen.....the boxing community(fans) will come out please! Either way we win!

For the good of boxing, I hope Mayweather goes after the winner of Mosley-Berto.

Pac demands catchweights. This fight is Arum keeping the money in his pocket. Clottey wants this so bad for the payday, he knows he wont win, if Cotto can outwork him and drop him with a jab, think of what Manny will do to him.

Come on,Cotto,Clottey those are guys the naturally bigger Floyd should have fought. Why the fk did not he fight these guys, Floyd sure disappointed a lot people there. Floyd needs to come up with something now, the usual bitching won't do it.

You got to realize that Pac does not need Floyd. Pac is the number one pound for pound fighter, it is more up to Floyd to prove something.

Cotto was the only catchweight, De La Hoya was at 147, yes he weighed in at 145 but that was bad weight management, not a contract stipulation. Hatton was at 140, Hatton's preferred weight.

The article states that Floyd might still be fighting on 20 march 2009. Let's hope that Floyd finally gets something done and fights a Paul Williams or a Bradley.

If this fight is indeed official, all eyes will now be fixed on Floyd on to see which opponent he chooses. I have to agree that the pressure will be on him to pick a tough Welterweight. That means a Berto or a Mosley, NOT a Mathew Hatton or a Malignaggi

If Mayweather signs to fight someone like Williams that'd be a good move.
