The impact on Floyd is that he'll have to settle for a B lister type opponent like Paulie. It's the same as Pac vs Clottey. Malignaggi is a good fighter but (much like Clottey) not a PPV headliner kind of guy. I would really prefer some sort of Floyd/Timothy Bradley catch weight bout rather than Malignaggi vs Floyd.

How the hell the biggest boxing fight in the last 5 years turned into Clottey vs Pac and Floyd vs Malignaggi is a mystery that can only come to be in the amazing cluster**** that is boxing.

If Mayweather took on Paul Williams at a catch between 147-154 I would respect the **** out of him.

I am sure Clottey was the only one from Top Rank who does not need blood testing. Its just suspicious still for me. Marquez demanded it and only Top Rank fighters will fight him in the status quo.

That would be good. Unfortunately I have zero faith in smooth negotiations between the people of Mayweather-ville and Shaw (Berto's people).

It also seems like whenever we discuss Mosley vs Floyd, SOMETHING comes up that completely throws that fight in the can.

I'd like to see Floyd vs Timothy Bradley in a catch weight fight myself.

Now I hope you realize how open you were for me to really slice into you, but I won't. I will explain...

I was never impressed with Pac. I felt the guys they put in front of him were one dimensional. The guys that didn't fight that way gave him fits. The problem is that the guys who didn't fight that way were not particularly good boxers/counter punchers as far as stats go (speed, reflexes, footwork) as far as that type of fighter goes. So I was never a fan of the guy.

Then I watched these last fights that took the guy to epic levels of fame. DLH looked like complete crap at the fight. Hatton was throwing lead left hooks with his rear hand down. Cotto was a broken man and had an incompetent corner. Still everyone looked past the obvious saying that Manny was an ATG.

However he did step up to fight Mayweather. Greatest fighter of our time. Then the BS started. Now the fight is off. Now he is fighting Clottey an in camp fighter who does not pose the same risk of embarrassing him.

Manny is not what people think he is. As soon as he fights Mayweather it will be apparent, but then again, he never will.

Mystery? It is all right before you. Manny won't agree to a 14 day testing cut off date. No more. No less. The offer still stands. Manny still won't agree.:deal

it sucks for boxing that this happened but im gonna go against the grain here and say this might have a positive effect on floyd. i am picking clottey to upset pac and if floyd in turn fights clottey i think clottey will be easier for floyd than pac would have.

It's still a mystery. Even if the argument is there, there are still 10000 unanswered questions on the situation.

My point still stands. Only in boxing can an easy 40 million dollar and 1+ million PPV buy scenario turn into a Dan Brown book.

What is the mystery? What are the unanswered questions? The only unanswered questions will be answered by a drug test and the match taking place.

Your point is why in the hell is Team Pac walking away from $20-40 million dollars when all of their demands were met and/or compromised on. Why? Again, all those questions will be answered with a drug test and a fight.

floyd is not going to fight Williams or Mosley or even BRadley. he could get knocked out easily there.

because he is a coward, he must handpick someone along the lines of matt hatton or Paulie Malignaggio. the fraud must not be jeopardized, all dangerous fights are to be avoided.

    Well...for one there's that

There's also the questions of Who tipped Floyd off on the potential issues of a failed test? What does he have to gain from it? How long have opponents been wondering about potential doping issues? When did the idea of an olympic-esque style of drug testing come up? Why doesn't the athletic commissions look into this issue more thoroughly? What does this do to the legacy of Pacquaio? The shaky legitimacy of boxing? If Pacquaio is proven to be guilty, what are the ramifications legally? How about criminally?

There's a shitload of questions that CAN be solved but won't. The fight is dead and we have a shitload of unanswered and conflicting questions to go through.
