whats going on with that fight did they even start promoting it?...It doesn't seem like they are building any sort of fight hype with it.
The talk on this fight has really died down since everyone heard about Mayweather-Mosley.. Yeah, I don't see any hype either. They couldn't even come up with a good name. 'The Event' haha
i think theve got to make a big push in the next few weeks because may v mos has blown up all over the sports channels , in miami in super bowl weekend
It's a stupid fight. I know Clottey will put up a fight, he's very underrated-- but come on man fighting the guy who got beat by the guy you just dominated? How the **** do you promote that ****?
WRONG! Clottey beat Cotto imo,,, and is a much tougher challenge for Pac right now. It's far from a "stupid fight"
I disagree I think Cotto just won, not a good performance and I would have hoped for a rematch to really settle it. But if you have it as Clottey winning it can only be by one or two points at the max and Pac absolutely dominated Cotto. I'm warming to the fight now but I dont think its a significant one. It would be great if Clottey put up a good fight but I dont see it, everything is stacked against him!
I see pac getting caught with a uppercut in this fight in a exchange! you have to know boxing! his offense is his defense!
I think Bob Arum has realised the casual fan doesn't care about this one with Mayweather vs Mosley on the horizon.
I think Arum will wait for the Mosely vs Mayweather Hype to die down somewhat! Then maybe it will start up again. I am suprised at how much peopple are talking about this fight though!
this fight has been totally overshadowed by PBF vs Mosley which is a real mega fight. However those who know, know that Pac vs Clottey will also be a real great one between two amazing WWs. That being said, I don't see how Arum thought pitting an Asian from Manilla against an African from NYC would create a big buzz in Texas
Actually, a lot of famous people are attending, apparently Pac and Margarito are big draws: Rosie Ruiz, Spanish Paralympians, Maradona, Tonya Harding, Danny Almonte, and the former East German Olympic teams.
Don't forget Luis Resto, Panama Lewis, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire, and Barry Bonds are all going to be in attendance to support Margarito and Pacquiao.
