Did Antonio the cheatio really do that much damage to Cotto (plaster hands or not) if so would the Pac vs Cotto fight have gone any different if the Margaritio fight never happened

I though Cotto was doing well for a few rounds but just went in his shell after getting hurt, was this because he was mentally shattered after the Margo fight or would this have happened anyway

Look at the pics of Pac at the end of the fight he didn't exactly come out unscathed, i'm not saying Cotto could have won but I predict a far closer fight if the Margo fight never happened

Most definitely. I'm not saying that Cotto would have beaten Pac but it would have been a much more competitive fight IMO.

Basically the same result. Cotto can't cope with Pacquiao's offence, too much speed, power and he never had the chin or the guard to handle it.

would've been the same result. Pac throws way too many for Cotto.
Cotto wouldve still lost to margocheato plaster or no plaster. Cheatos chin and pressure was too great.

Please, Pac takes Cotto apart 10 out of 10 times, pre or post Margarito.

Cotto lost confidence, and had no one in his corner to instil it in him. Pre-Margarito, it would definitely have been closer. Wish he had a quality trainer with him, to keep him more disciplined, because when he started exchanging, his whole game plan got thrown out. Before that he was jabbing well. He just didn't seem like his old ruthless self!

Yes Manny would have more respect for Cotto and Cotto would have his aura of invincibility as well as his confidence. With nobody beating him Manny would not follow the blue print Margo and Clottey created. I feel Cotto would win on points.

The Margarito fight was where Cotto learned how to lose. Some fighters come back stronger after a loss. Others realize it's no big deal. I think Cotto falls in the latter category. When fighters start talking about how they'd rather have their health than win, it's a giant shift in mentality. It's a very understandable shift in mentality, and perhaps even a smart one; but, it really changes a fighter and takes a lot away from their game.

I don't know If Cotto would have won, but it would have been a more competitive fight.

Prime jabbing Cotto would have made it competitive for 6 rounds instead of 3. Yes he would nullify some of Pac's offense early but like the first fight, Pac will eventually slip and punch him to a TKO or UD.
