I'm going crazy here trying to pick a winner for this fight. Can't wait in fact.
What are your opinions on the following points:

1- Who do you see controlling the action more? Does Pac bounce around him, moving in - firing - moving back out? Or do you see Cotto going physical and ruffing Pac up?

2- Do you think Pac will have enough pop/power to make Cotto tentative, or do you think Cotto can walk through his shots (like he did against Judah)

3- I think Pac can land consistently on Cotto's face. Do you think Cotto will have a hard time catching him? What's gonna be Cotto's key punch? We know his left hook is deadly but I believe he needs a JMM-like quick right hand counter to really trouble Pac.

    4- Who will tire first??

I guess all the unknowns are gonna make this an amazing fight.
I'm looking for some insightful arguments here - no WAR COTTO or PAC KO1

Also, if you're Filippino or Puerto Rican, I will consider your opinion highly biased :rasta

    1. Pac controls the action as always....
    2. Enough power? dont know. Enough Speed? Hell Yes.
    3. Cotto will have a hard time catching Pac.
4 Cotto will tire first.... SO OBVIOUS... Pac never tires.

Pac will obviously have enough power to keep Cotto honest but not enough to hurt him.
Which will be good so Cotto is tentative at all times.
The speed wont matter past the 4th or 5th round. Usually by then the steam is taken out of Pacs punches. IM just worried about them trying to rush Cotto in the first few rounds.
Although I think Pac gets KD in the 1st or 2nd round from a stiff jab from Cotto which will make him a little more tentative in return and Cotto will just work from that.
Think about it when Pac throws he is still off balance. I dont get why people keep saying he has corrected that because he has not. For as much as Freddy thinks he is a good trainer and trainers should correct their pupils mistakes he doesnt.
Pac is always off balance after he throws that right hand. thats when a stiff jab is going to KD him.

Around the 8th or 9th Pac will get caught with something big to the body like JMM caught Pac in the mid rounds and Cotto has the chin and finishing skill to finish him. More than likely something to the head after combinations to the body.

Pac loses control of the fight when he is getting jabbed. Cotto has a really good jab so i predict he will control the fight with it.
Cotto had no problem landing on fast fighters such as Zab and Mosley.

As far as the tiring part u might be right but if Cotto gets that body work in then we wont even get to the part of the fight where Cotto slows down.

Right. Plus Pac will have to work a lot harder than usual to back off Cotto and his imposing size. If this gets to the later rounds I think we will see both of them pretty tired.

I might try to answer some of those questions after the weigh in. I just can't make a solid pick.

When has Pac ever let the action be dictated? And only time Cotto has is vs Margo at diff times during the fight. Going to be very interesting to see a backward moving Pac or Cotto, should = fireworks.

When was the last time that happened?

Zab and Mosley does not have the same footwork Pac has IMO. Pac goes in and out and circles opponents very quick after flurries. Cotto wont even have time to counter.

Mosley and Zab have fast hands but they move much slower on the feet.
PAC has fast movement in general, so its harder to catch him.
However PAC wasn't spectacular against Marquez and everybody know
how Marquez did against Mayweather, so maybe PAC isn't as fast as people say.

OMG-JMM vs Mayweather can no way be compared to JMM vs Pac. JMM was a blob and slow as tar at 144, a weight HE HAS NEVER FOUGHT AT IN HIS LIFE! Have Floyd fight JMM at JMM championship weight and we will see how fast he is (Honestly, Floyd would still be faster, but definite difference)
