Pac vs DH and Floyd vs Mosley are overrated victories

Shut up, muggins. I dislike Mayweather more than most but those two fights cannot be compared. Mosley was made to look old by Mayweather, whereas ODLH was old and weight drained.

Give Mayweather his credit

 

delahoya agreed to fight pac at a catchweight, and lost humiliatingly. pac went up at least 2 division higher, a weightclass he has never went into, while oscar went down on a weight he has made at least 10 years past. after all, most of us here believed that oscar would murder pac in the ring. before the fight, we all said that there will be no excuses, and now here came those lame excuses.

mosley-mayweather, mosley is the linear WW champ no excuse. floyd cancelled shane's best arsenal (or mosley then quit 'fighting' after the 2nd round by refusing to jab or bully floyd, etc). Mosley was already old at 38 at had great wars with great fighters (Vargas, Oscar, Wright, Forrest, Cotto to name a few) and he's already way past his prime, considering also his 450+ days of inactivity. those were the excuses, but fukk it, Floyd still beat shane.

 

:good close thread both great wins. pac made oscar quit lol and floyd after rocked twice, recovered and never looked back.

 

Oscar proved he was over the hill when he chose to retire.

Let's wait to see what Shane does next to see where he's really at. Does he keep fighting at the top P4P level? Or does he retire because he hates big paychecks? (sarcarsm)

 

I think the comparison will be easier to make if Shane fights again and manages to look great, like beating a prime Berto soundly. Then Mayweather's win looks that much greater than Oscar's farewell beatdown.
