I think Pac lacks the gear to deal with Duran here. Not Durans best weight but he still handles Manny here. Duran UD 15.

No reason to put them at welterweight, both men are better at lower weights. Duran stops Pacquiao in a tremendous fight at Welterweight, possibly coming off the floor to do so. Manny has a fast, straight left hand that might get through on occasion.

Blown-up fighters can't win a firefight against Duran at this weight, imo.

Duran would have punished, and knocked out Manny.

As you go lower down the weights, pacquiao's chances drop lower aswell, the higher weights in my opionion were where pacquiao added more dimensions to his arsenal, even though I feel he also started to lose some of his killer instinct as weve seen him progress making him infact less dangerous despite the advancements. Duran beats pacquiao everytime and if were talking the montreal duran then duran absolutely wins.

I don't think the weight matter, Duran is just better at everything Pac does, and has a better defense.

without reading this people will say Duran will win by knockout. But the reality is Pacman has fast hands and I think he outboxes Duran, who could never deal with the fast hands of a great fighters. Duran knocks out JMM, but not Pacman.

I know you repeat this similar point often but really? I can understand you saying Duran had trouble with boxers and movers (although I don't completely agree) but he doesn't have any trouble with fast hands in and of themselves. Even though pac has improved he is by no means that much of a pure boxer, he uses his fast hands for aggressive fighting. If you think its purely fast hands that defeat Duran then why did Leonard lose the first fight??

Duran had trouble with Benitez, who had fast hands and movements, but not particularly a mover. Pacman is exceptional with his hands and made Oscar Delahoya look inept. And many on here make excuses for Duran when he lost to Leonard,Benitez, Hearns at 147 and 154, yet when he is matched up in fantasy matchups he wins by knockout against Pacman or Mayweather. Doesn't make much sense. When he really fought greats he lost but in matchups and gets excuses that he was old at 32 or not at his weight (and he fought at 154 before Hearns,Leonard,Benitez ever fought at 154) where he fights at those weights he wins by knockout. I will admit Pacman is not as defensive as Benitez, but his handspeed was not comparable to many. The only guys now I think have a chance beating Duran are Pacman and Mayweather. Guys like Cotto and Ortiz or Berto are guys Duran would destroy. And I am not a Mayweather fan, but his style would beat Duran. He would not fight Duran's fight and he was quick.

    Duran would pick Pacquaio apart

Yes Duran couldn't handle the fast hands of Leonard in their first bout and Pacquaio has way more skill than Leonard doesn't he? Oh no wait I'm talking BS just like you

No you're being too hard on the Pacman with that statement, I mean 5'10 defensive counter punching wizard Benitez, that's just the same as Pacman it is, I mean they both have fast hands you know

Ray fought Duran's fight the first fight. He didn't use his handspeed to counterpunch or his feet to move. How is that BS? Compare the first fight and the second and the first round and see the difference. BS is if I made it up.
The proof is there. And Duran had Ray fighting his fight in the first fight and still couldn't stop him.

They have fast hands but to say Pacman was a defensive genuis like Benitez is not true. Benitez was not as offensive as Pacman, but he avoided even Thomas Hearns body punches. I never saw a guy be able to avoid Tommy's right like he did, but he actually avoided the body punching. He was amazing. But I don't think Wilfred could have been offensive minded and been as great defensively.

I was joking about Pacquaio's defensive process mate, that's a weakness in Pacquaio that is a massive strength in Benitez and to a lesser extent Hearns/Leonard. Pacquaio neither has height/range advantages that those men do

Ray didn't use defence in the first fight and he gave up his height and counter punching advantages but he still used speed. Pacquaio doesn't have a defence and doesn't counter punch, he also telegraphs his punches at times. Conversely his open defence and telegraphing of his punches makes him easy to time and beat to the punch, see Marquez/Morales

So Pacquaio is quicker of hand, but if Marquez can make him look silly, Duran can with his equally skilled counter punching
