PBF's nose was bloodied because of a jab. PBF busted up Cotto more and beat Cotto much easier than Canelo did. Canelo never once hut Cotto in that fight.

Canelo hurt Cotto with a body shot around the 5th round, I believe it was. It wasn't as obvious as the hurt PBF put on Cotto in the 12th round.
But still, Floyd was leaking out his nose, and looked like Cotto was able to inflict more damage on him. So yeah Floyd beat Cotto more convincingly, but got more busted up in the process than Alvarez did.

WTF Canelo fan confirmed, Canelo dot not look good against a faded small guy and the fight was way closer than that bull**** scores where only you and the pay up judges saw it wide. Even the school of Floyd over Canelo was scored by Canelo fans. You have to KO Canelo to beat Him ask Trout, Floyd, Cotto and Lara. Canelo was the favorite to win looked way bigger and was scared to try to impress.

Yea and Pacquiao stopped prime or near prime Cotto too and didn't just UD a faded Cotto like Mayweather did.

Ok here's my take. As a previous poster stated, it took a while for Cotto to get over the Margarito loss. I say this because Cotto himself said this in the 24/7 for the Mayweather fight. He said that he got back something by beating Margarito. That fact was also the reason that Teddy Atlas predicted Cotto would lose to Pac. He said because of the ghost of Margarito. Add to that the draining and most importantly the fact that Cotto did not have a competent trainer for the Pac fight. For all those reason I say the 154 version of Cotto that had an Olympic trainer in his corner and had just vanquished his greatest psychological barrier was the best version of the three. And Floyd beat that version. Now some might argue Canelo but above 154 is too much for Cotto, I think. Also he's a little long in the tooth now.

Cotto looked great in the fights between the first Margo and Pacquiao fights.

He was only 26 during the Margarito beatdown, plenty young enough to recover from a war.

Cotto in the Pac fight was younger but at that time was mentally shot not even close of a focus one. Cotto had the death of His father, Margo loss, lawsuit with His uncle after a brawl, no trainer He was training by himself. So in the records Pacman beat Cotto but in reality that win was against one of the worst Cotto ever, being the worst the out of shape performance against Trout. If you want to see how Cotto was mentally chack the clottey fight, He fought with a friend as a trainer WTF.

Psychological scars take longer to heal than physical ones. My point was the psychological effect was not neutralized until he actually bet Margarito. Also the not having a trainer (a real one) was the main issue.
