I have a lot of respect for Ricky Hatton as a person and as a fighter - but I can't say I'm excited about a fight between him and Pacquiao. I don't see a DeLaHoya like beating taking place, but I see Manny turning Ricky's face into chop meat inside of eight rounds. Does anyone else see this fight as a borderline mismatch?

Yes its a mismatch.... Before the bell will ring Chuck Norris will come inside making Packy and Fatton team up.

But still beaten by Chuck Norris strand of hair.

Manny's speed could be a deciding factor but Hatton will take to give back and won't give Manny breathing room.At some point Hatton will give Manny a taste of his power i'm sure but as I say I see Manny dictating for large parts

Hatton wins with relative ease in this one.

This is no mismatch...Im picking Pac and Im confident he will take this one out.

But beating a guy like Diaz and that version of Hoya is no gauge of how a fight with Ricky will go...Hatton is at his best weight and in pretty good form.

His mauling and holding will give Manny something to think about.

I wouldn't count on that, nor would I count an easy one for Pac.

This is a 50/50 and not a toss up coin either.

Personally I don't think this is a mismatch, both fighters deserve respect. Anyone can have their favorite, but I do not see a fight that is decided beforehand here.

Pac's hand and foot speed and improved boxing qualities together with an amazing physique that allows him to keep coming for 12 rounds, will prove too much for Hatton in the end i think. That being said, I won't be surprised if Hatton takes it either, both are quality fighters and Hatton has way more experience at the 140 pound weight class.

I'm leaning towards a Pac victory by 60% vs 40%.

Mark my words here, today and now. I like Manny more than Hatton, but Hatton will win by late KO or SD in a war. Manny's yoyo dieting will affect him. I see Hatton hurting him with left hooks to the body coming out of clinches. Manny will land the straight left, but it won't faze Hatton much. The keys to the fight will be Hattons left hook to the head or body, and how much clinching and fighting off the clinch is allowed. The keys for Manny will be speed and precision. Hattons physicalness and rough housing will prevail. Manny will lose no love.

Of course a bigger font makes the statement more true. I should have thought of that when i made my prediction. :hat

If Hatton can bring his "A game" body attack to the fight he will take away Pacs biggest weapon, his speed, and he could win at a canter.

I used to think it was one sided in favour of Hatton, I no longer think this.

    50-50 match.

I don't think it will be a "borderline mismatch" exactly, but I don't think it will be as close as most seem to think. Hatton will not be able to cope with Pac's speed, I think Pac will slice him down after 10 rounds and be well ahead on points at the time. Competitive fight but always with only one winner.
