S You show me that you only pay attention when its convenient for you...... JMM went for the gusto and punished MAB....... ........Pac was content to let MAB survive. Alot of people would say that Pac let a sleeping dog sleep! ....he may have been afraid that if he woke him up, it might come back to bite him!:hey .....and they keep on saying it, "MAB almost beat JMM".......when the reality is that Marquez was declared the winner by wide scores!:deal Johnco, Domngo, PacDbest, Silvermags, Chimba, etc....with all the Pac hardcores........question, which was a more exciting fight, the JMM-MAB fight, or the Pac MAB rematch?:hey :hey :hey JMM has always been crucified by the Pac hardcores for not being exciting enough and not planting his feet to go toe to toe...... .....even Pac and his hardcores are publicly asking JMM to dig in, in toe to toe battle. ...........yet, when JMM played that role against MAB, they dont give him the credit for making it exciting, and turn the roles around and credit Pac for not waking up a sleeping dog!:rofl :rofl :rofl WHich is it guys, what style do you like better? Did you find JMM-MAB, or Pac-MAB rematch more pleasing?
Divac, Like I said, JMM has the ability to win. If you insist that counter punching IS EXCITING you must be kidding! Just imagine a RUNNER and COUNTER PUNCHER meets? vs a WARRIOR vs WARRIOR. For the sake of arguement Hatton belongs to the 135lbs and PAC meets him in the boxing ring!? Man o man it's no brainer that people would rather see the fight pac vs hatton at 135lbs than JMM vs Hatton at 135lbs. Bro, be content that I say, JMM has the abliitly to win! BUT to tell me he is EXCITING?! you got to be kidding! TOO bad! Hatton at 140lbs is TOO big for pac!
I dont particularly enjoy watching counterpunching runners in the mold of Pernell Whitaker and Chris Byrd.....fighters that dont put a whole lot into their shots...... .....JMM is not that type of a fighter, I dont know where people get the idea that he avoids confrontation. You can be a great counterpuncher and still kick some ass, JMM and Evander Holyfield are prime examples. .....these fighters usually fight in counterpunch mode but still do great bodily harm to their opposition. If you ever get a chance, watch JMM's fight with Robbie Peden. Peden quit on his stool vomiting blood from the body punching beatdown JMM propinated on him. Check out how JMM anhillated Manuel "Mantecas" Medina, he propinated these beatdown within a counterpunching frame of mind. Goodness, there is nothing sweeter in the sport of boxing to see a fighter draw an imaginary line at center ring and daring your foe to cross it.....as the foe is crossing it, the counterpuncher is counterpunching him silly with hurtful shots. What is it in JMM's arsenal that you dont care for Silvermags. The man throws shots with hurtful intentions.....he is not a pitter patterer in the mold of Whitaker and Byrd, or do you not agree?
We just probably have a different taste as far as seeing victory is concerned... It'd rather see a fight like PAC vs Morales III than JMM winning over Jaurez. Yes, as you claimed he schooled juarez (so does Mab!) Yes, he's a good counter puncher.. you even said he schooled Medina.. I'd rather see KO's than winning UD's and NO knock downs...that's our difference. BTW, you have not answered my question, whom do you HONESTLY FEEL will be a blockbuster fight PAC vs HATTON JMM vs HATTON Whom do you think the audience will buy? Whom do you think the british and the americans will buy? It's no brainer which is more exciting!?! Like I said, warrior type is more exciting, more entertaining, more popular... but don't worry, if we talk about ability to win. a win is a win. JMM has it too. OK ok I would not say counter punching is boring, i'll just say it does not sell much as the warrior aggressive type..
btw, I'd rather see a FIGHT with somebody winning by KO, than a fight with a boxer winning by UD by way of thousand punches and NO kNOCKDOWNS! WHAT! A thousand PUNCHES and NO knockdowns?! where's the POWER?! where's the POWER?!
Personally, I would not want to see either a JMM or Pac matchup with Ricky Hatton. Hatton is too big, and I dont believe either JMM or Pac would have the strenghth at 140 lbs to put up a bonafide challenge against Hatton. If they were to fight tommorow, a Pac fight with Hatton would sell more to the public because he's been hyped more than JMM. .....and there is no doubt about it, the average Joe would prefer to watch an explosive KO. Myself, my taste over the years has grown to where in the begging of my following boxing, I liked watching someone just steamroll and pulverize a fighter. .....but over the years, that did only so much for me as a viewer. I started to see fighters like Leonard, Hagler, Holyfield and Chavez, the way they showed their superiority both on a skillful as well as a physical level. A fighter like Evander Holyfield and JC Chavez, showed that they were superior any way you cut it. There is nothing better than too see a fighter show his boxing skills before he wears an opponent out and then goes in for the kill. .....by the time Tyson came around in the mid 80's, everyone was fascinated by his KO's. To them, there was nobody better in history than Iron Mike Tyson. .....my tastes and preferences during that Tyson era had developed to wanting to see something more than a KO. ....after every Tyson KO, my thinking would be, "yeah, but let me see him steamroll a Heavyweight who is not intimidated and is good enough to fight back...... I was one of the very few average Joe's around my neighborhood who even questioned Mike Tyson's abilities when it related to his actual greatness as a fighter. .....and because my tastes had changed and the longer I watched boxing I understood and apprecieated the nuances of the sport and things like conditioning, heart, and determination......I was looked at as a fool during that time for declaring that an up and coming Heavyweight who had risen from the Cruiserweight ranks would be the first to hand Mike Tyson his hide. (I was wrong about that, Buster Douglas beat Holyfield to it.) In any regards, the longer you watch this sport, the more you appreciate fighters like JMM who do it skillfully and physically. I much prefer to watch JC Chavez skillfully and physically disect Edwin Rosario over the long haul of a fight, than to watch Mike Tyson knockout Michael Spinks in 90 seconds. Honestly, I think most who have followed the sport long enough would agree with that.
Not at 122:nono Yet i bet silver would watch and cheer him on if he fought at that weight. How about Gorres then, does he not like watching him? See what im getting at?:yep
Pac beats down Marq in sudden, quick and brutal fashion that everybody would be agaped and hushed for several minutes... T/KO in 3 or 4...
Like JMM, he only has the ability to win. Fascinating? NO? impressive, in a sense yes coz he's also already old. Same with JMM Fascinating? NO, impressive yes, coz he is already 34 yrs old.
More than HYPE itself is the legion of fans that pac has! That's the reason it would sell. Anyway, obviously your taste is diifferent from mine.. Oh more thing, JMM younger bro may have lost but DAMN he is defenitely more exciting that big brother Juan. There third figth with Vazquez is a good candidate for the fight of the year. Very very exciting! Correct me if I'm wrong since you believe that JMM is exciting I never recalled that any of his fights. In fact ALL his fights I believe were NEVER been a candidate for a fight of a year. Im not asking for a "Fight of the year" itself. I'm just talking about his fights being a candidate for the Fight of the year.. Oh lastly, one more NEVER about JMM (fans)! They NEVER ADMITTED JMM lost. I've been strictly following all the reasoning, DAMN! All those losses JMM had was all ROBBED!!! If we follow all the reasonings of JMM's fans in terms of his losses. JMM is indeed the ALL TIME ROBBED boxer of the decade!
