The first two fights were far too close, and I was'nt entirely sold, on both decisions. Manny has already stated that he wishes to drop down to 140, which would most definatly indicate a Pac/Hatton match up and comming. Unfortunatly, IF Manny does end up defeating the HitMan, this would make a Pac/PBF match almost inevitible. Now don't get me wrong, both of these fights would be great and I would love to see them, but that shoud'nt mean we lose out on another rematch between Manny and JMM in the near future. I just think it would be wrong to let this rivalry die, without a decisive victory, while both fighters are in their respective primes. This does beg the question however, IF Manny and Juan Manuel fight again, who wins?:think
Let Marquez fight some LWs his age first. Until he does or can beat Pac he hasn't really earned that type of a payday/matchup. Pac and Marquez do need to fight before they retire
^ pac is going for elite status now. You know the ATG list style ish. JMM should not be thought of right now. It is either hatton or mayweather those fights put boxing on the proverbial map again.
Pac will not fight JMM unless its at 140..At 147 we saw that PAc maintained his speed and has a stronger body...Hed win this fight..people forget that PAc belive it or not is still a work in progress.. 135 I call it even
it would be another great fight but the problem is, pac is looking for money and fame( and you cant really blame him) so right now the biggest fight fro him are pbf or hatton. jmm is third on the list right now.
They already fought twice. While I agree that JMM did very well against Pac, I would rather see Pac fight someone new than a 3rd fight with him.
@ 135 Pacquiao beats him again by a wide margin. @140 Pacquiao ko's Marquez within 8 rounds. @147 the first straight left Manny throws will put Marquez in a coma.
I think Pac and Roach already know that Pac does'nt have the skillset to compete boxistically with Marquez. The fight is'nt going to happen unless Pac loses to someone else first. Having seen what I saw against DLH, I'd say Pac would be competitive vs Hatton, but lose to him. I'd give Marquez a better shot at beating Hatton, though I'd make it a pickem fight. Mayweather is out of the question for either of them, since those fights would likely take place at 147 lbs, and neither Marquez or Pac are Welters.
True. Pac should not bother with marquez now. It would be a boring and huge set-back if he did. He needs to fight guys like Hatton, Maywather perhaps Mosley or Cotto.
Let see what JMM does at 140 before we ask for a 3rd match. All these delusional fans wanting JMM to fight at this weight needs to take a back seat and see what JMM wants. I sure as hell haven't heard him calling out anyone at the 140 or above weight. If JMM decide to stay at 135 so be it. He doesn't lose any respect from me.
JMM maybe saying he will follow Pac all the way to 147, But deep inside Nacho knows that the higher weight they go the more Pac can maintain his speed without the cause of dehydrating that much. JMM maybe the master of all technicals but on a higher weight, Pac has all the advantage at the moment. JMM would probably challenge Pac at 140 as long as he could or probably if Pac is willing down to 135 which is close to impossible. But at 147? We all know what a non dehydrated Pac could do.
