I agree.....PAC's greatest challenge through his career has been JMM....and for good reason. JMM is a MASTER Boxer who would be tough for anyone to beat....even PAC. I just see that PAC has changed his style ALOT even from their last fight. PAC is more fluid with his counters, more movement, better balance, alot more crafty and the speed, power and reflexes are still very much in tact. I just don't see JMM pulling out a win....especially now. But yeah........Roach should be very proud! He took a lump of coal and made an almost flawless diamond. I wouldn't ever have thought PAC would be in this position when I first saw him fight Lebewah back in 2002 or 2003!
JMM really is a stellar boxer. PAC beat Diaz at 135 but Diaz isn't much. JMM beat Casamayor. That says a lot about JMM's skills. I agree that JMM has PAC's number but I think now that PAC is an elite fighter he's going to be a lot more calculated in which fights he takes. That why JMM PAC Pt3 won't happen until JMM has started to decline physically. Right now I think JMM would still have a good chance of beating PAC but PAC does improve with every fight. In 2 years PAC is still only 31 and he would win vs. JMM.
And casamayor was not even much also, So your saying that Pac should go straight at JMM? or else the excuse of waiting for more years before he should fight JMM? Deep inside Nacho knows that JMM has nothing to offer for Pac unlike Hatton. So Pac would go mold his legacy more not take JMM just because he is craving for another shot.
Jmm now lags behind Pac. JMM has reached his full potentials whereas, Pac is still improving. A fight now is surely going Pac's way on a KO...
I could watch these guys rematch forever. That said, I actually think Manny has been getting better and better while JMM is only just as good. JMM was always an excellent skilled fighter while Manny had more natural gifts but lacked technique. I think Manny has shown a LOT of technical improvement with his last few fights and his skills have been greatly improving. I am sure in great part to facing guys like JMM.
I disagree with this. People crap on the Casamayor win as though he was old...he WAS the champ, and had never been beaten clearly in his whole career. JMM (who is old too, mind you) beat him handily.
If they fight and Marquez did actually win then it would be 1 each and 1 even so there would have to be a FOURTH f**king fight to decide. We don't need that. They are pretty evenly matched against one another, everyone can see that. Endless rematches arent going to decide it. Edited: so as not to sound ****
DLH also beat the current Champion at the time when he faced the 35 yr old JCC. While it was a good win for Oscar it didn't mean as much regarding his legacy given that JCC was old and past his best...even though he held the WBC title at the time.
The fact that Pac got outboxed for MASSIVE periods during both fights with Marquez means that a 3rd fight has to happen. I have it 1-1 currently btw.
Only in terms of physical stature. There is nobody in world Boxing today that is more talented and more dangerous than Marquez at either 130 or 135. If the two were to fight again, I'd preferably like it to be at 135 with both fighters already having campaigned their for at least one bout. Who knows how either fighter performs at 140?
If JMM can't beat Pac at 130 you can forget about JMM beating PAC at 135 or 140. But the only person at 130 or 135 that is close to PAC in terms of overall boxing ability (talent included) would be JMM! He's a terrific boxer but we are truly seeing a special kind of fighter in Many as we did with Floyd, Prime MT, Ali, Leonard, Robinson, Duran .....ect.
pac vs jmm at 147lbs JMM gets ko at 140lbs JMM gets ko at 135lbs PAC by UD only at 130lbs PAC drains himself by 17 lbs. JMM will get a chance
