khan has never faced anyone of pac's talent so this question if futile,if in a year khan has stepped it up and shown his potential to be reality i give him a very good chance of beating anyone in the world around 135-140.

Everyone will say Khan gets KTFO, and probably rightly at the moment

In a year or so, I would happily take Khan as the underdog. He is huge compared to Pac for a start. He has good orthodox boxing skills, that cause Pac trouble, and certanly the jab would be his friend here

I can't see why Khan gets so slated. He won an Olympic silver at 17, 17!! Only losing to a great fighter and has since moved on well. He's already increased the quality of his opposition after sixteen fights or so and has beaten some pretty good fighters. Give him a year and he'll have a world belt. Can't see why so many people on this site are so extreme in their views, there should be more appreciation of top class talent and less of the moronic extreme hating of fighters based on little evidence or knowledge

Earl, Limmond and St. Clair were good opponents but Khans next opponent is a huge step back. He should fight Thaxton vs Romonov winner after the Dane. In a years time if Khan develops as expected, he has a decent chance of beating Pacman.

Pacquiao KO 2. Pretty much the first hard lef the lands. Khan would run in the first round, probably getting stunned. Pacquiao would land eventually and then Khan will sleep like a baby.

It looks increasingly likely that there will never be Khan-Thaxton, which is a shame.

Amir has great potential & is learning all the time. Khan seems to plant his feet a lot more, not move about as much as he did in the amateurs, & is learning not to waste too many punches.

Khan is on the learning curve stage of his career, he will only get better. He seems dedicated to boxing, so I feel that will stand in him goodstead.

Maybe he is a bit chinny/maybe he is not?

I think it's too early to put Khan in with someone like Pacquaio, but given time, who knows, we might just possibly see Khan-Pacquaio?

Pacquaio definately needs to impve his defense. For me, Manny lunges in far too much. Marquez made him pay a few for rushing in with counter-punches.

I hope Freddy Roach put some emphasis on working on Pacquaio's defense, because up at LW, Manny will find they hit harder.

Pac already made some defensive improvements... him getting hit was due to JMM great countering and overall skill. He did blocked some of JMM's punches with his gloves and he had better head movement. Not as great as others but obviously better than before...

How would you rate Khans chances against Nate Campbell?

I can see Khan picking up the WBO strap within the year, with Campbell probally being stripped thanks to Warrens influence with the WBO.

I dont even wanna see pac move to 135..He's peaked right now at his current weight..He won't last at lightweight..too small..I think nate and casa beat him..in a year Khan beats him..not yet tho..still too young

    Great, marketable match up.

Pac is too experienced, IMO, but I would pay for this.

Khan's next opponent is who he would have fought on the night he fought St. Clair. The fight had already been made but Kristjansen (spelling?) pulled out with injury and St. Clair stepped in. I agree though he does need to fight someone better, but think contractually the fight was already made.

As for this thread - at the moment pac would destroy him. Let Khan build himself up first, he looks like a genuine talent and maybe after a title fight next year we could start discussing him as a potential opponent for P4P ranked fighters.

The over under on this fight would probably be 1 round with pac the heavy favorite.
