the way Pac sees it, he pays Arum to pick his opponents. That's Arum's job, not Pac's. Pac's job is to box. That's why Pac always says that he will fight whoever Arum picks for him to fight. Why would Pac pick and choose his opponents when he is paying someone else to do it? Someone who has been doing it for decades and is considered one of the best ever at it.
There's a couple things wrong with your post. 1. Arum is a promoter first...He doesn't necessarily choose opponents...The sanctioning bodies choose who the mandatories are. A promoter PROMOTES the fights... 2. When you have scum like Don King and Bob Arum, he will go ahead and get his fighters to only fight his fighters, even if it means getting dropped by the ABC's, all in the name of $$. Arum is considered as a one of the best SCAM artists, that's why the smartest business men/Fighters left him as soon as they could. A fighter does have a say who he wants to fight, its the reason why when Cotto looked like **** against Clottey, Pac phoned Arum and told him to make the fight. Pac had a say.
Pac vs Cotto was going to happen regardless of whether Cotto looked like **** or looked like Roberto Duran. It was already stated by Trampler before the Pac vs Hatton fight. All Cotto needed was to win, which he did on my card.
He got a gift in a fight where he landed less punches and at a lower percentage. Clottey was bossing him around the ring. Cotto got a gift soley so he could fight Pac. another top rank exhibition if I ever saw one.
Cotto must've been floored several times. Clottey was stunned in the first though. Pac vs Cotto was gonna happen whether Cotto knocked out Clottey in 1 round or won a hard fought decision. Bruce Trampler had already said it was gonna happen and Pac was ringside for that fight.
And this has what to do with the fight? Your scorecards are always atrocious. You should apply to be a judge, you dont know alot about boxing and that should easily qualify you. Clottey won that fight. But was robbed on the cards. You think that if Clottey won Top Rank makes the fight with Pacquiao lol? You're a fool. BTw, Floyd still beats Pac's ass up and down the ring at 130 worse then Morales did.
