There is a lot more to it than that.

Besides, WW's today are really middleweights. Look at Margarito, Clottey and Williams. They are 160 and over sometimes on fight night.

I'd much rather get hit by the likes of David Diaz than people like Cotto.

Cotto would destroy Mayorga & Pac on the same night. I dont see why people keep throwing other names out there not named "Mayorga" in a Mayorga vs Pac thread.

Sure the WW out there are more like MW but that LW out there are more like WW's. It all balances itself out.

Margo, Cotto, PBF, Spinks would all beat Pac handily. Mayorga is there to be hit though and if Pac bulks up, he will outbox him and carry enough firepower to hurt him.

Ive sparred LW's who hit harder than most fighters I know including HW's. I suppose when you get an elite LW puncher vs an elite HW puncher theres a huge difference, but make no mistake, Pac could hurt Mayorga in accumulation. Specially if he was coming in 160 on the night too.

Pac would NOT hurt Mayorga. Not a snowballs chance in hell, his power has decreased at superfeather for christs sake, how the hell is he hurting a guy that has taken regular clean bombs from Trinidad for 8 rounds?

Even if Mayorga's punch resistance is fading, no way could Pac have the speed or power necessary to hurt Mayorga at 147. He'd have to hit Mayorga 15 times unanswered cleanly to hurt him.

Only way that happens is if Ricardo is absolutely dead from weight drain.

Because Pac has fast hands and what you dont see coming will hurt you. We also see what DLH did to Mayorga and DLH is a former LW. Would you have said Duran a LW didnt have a snowballs chance to hurt Barkley if they ever met? Well he did.

This isnt a case of nuthugging, simply just seeing size for what it is. An advantage, not the be all end all to all matchups.

    Yes.

Between Mayorga's uncredited KD's and his unwarranted point deductions, this was a clear robbery.

It makes me smile every time I hear talk of poor officiating and judging in Europe.

Sure, there is some dreadful reffing and judging in Europe (Yestserday's Hatton fight being one example, even if they got the RESULT right), But there are just as many woeful decisions and referees in the USA.

Duran was not a LW when he fought Hagler. He allowed his body to acclimate to his weight classes through many fights over time.

Don't think I'm picking on you, but DLH being a former LW does not mean any former LW would have his success. You're compltetly ignoring individual body tpes. What DLH did or Barkley or any other boxer is irrelevent to Pac's moving up in weight. You've used DLH as an example as weight not being a big deal, but you're using him is an incorrect context.

Manny Pac is not 5'11" and a natural WW or JrMW like DLH is.

I can't believe how anyone would give Pac a chance in this one.

Mayorga gave Forrest free shots and then KO'd him.

And Forrest hits harder than Pac.

How would Pac keep Mayorga off him?

He doesn't have the tools for this one.

( And i scored both JMM fights narrowly for Pac, and I think he'll beat ANYONE with the last name Diaz, and probably Nate as well)
