pac vs mayweather, let's be real.

After exploring all possibilities I think this is Pac's toughest fight, he is tailored made for FLOY.

The Mosley fight will show how good FLOY really is because SHANE is a genuine test.

 

True. ALthough if you look carefully at the Clottey fight, the few times Clottey landed relatively straight shots to the mid-section (not hooks to his sides), you could see that they made Manny "think" a bit....not saying they hurt him, but I think he felt it. The problem is, exactly as you mentioned, if Floyd REACHES with the straight right to his body the SAME way he did to Zab Judah for example, Pac will be trigger happy with the same right hook counter that Judah threw to knock Mayweather down (it was clearly a knockdown, albeit a flash, given that his glove touched the canvas). Either way, I think Mayweather is gonna have to work Manny's body to slow him down, but he better be cautious not to REACH with the right down low too much.

 

You dont have to exchange in fire fights to be aggressive or fight comming forward...see Judah fight.

Pac will noway be allowed to throw 100 punches agasint Floyd...why? Because its a reason why people call Floyd a runner....me i dont consider it running but he keeps excellent spacing and uses great lateral movement...when he feels the fighter is too close potshots then holds or pushes the fighter off balance....this kills momentum and any exchanges.

Look if your basing Pac winning this fight off of workload like 100 punches a round...you are sadly mistaken...Floyd will often fire first and wrap up or push Pac off balance negating exchanges and slowing the fight down.

Manny won't be looking out to aggressively attack to knock down Floyd. He might deceive to look like it at times but he will not push it. He will play a much defensive game like he did to Hoya choosing his punches well looking for the right opening. He has learned to be patient when he needs to. You are also underestimating Pac's footwork. If May can run so do Pac.

 

I certainly agree that it shouldnt be called "running" at all...Mayweather uses his lateral movement and ring generalship very well to "limit" the exchanges if you will, and certainly, tie up his opponents or potshot/hold to limit the action. This is exactly what B-hop has done so successfully when he got older.
The problem with Manny is that he throws punches (repeatedly) WHILE he is coming in, awkward and off-balance as it is, that could cause Mayweather some problems. A perfect example of this is when Manny throws a lead straight left to the body while literally jumping off his right foot to throw a chopping straight right downward as he is coming in. I see Mayweather defending against a lot of that kind of bs that Manny does (and countering), but still, the sheer output may cause Floyd some problems.

Good post. Floyd will try smothering Pac and take away some of his , momentum as you put it, before he goes on offense. The first 3 rounds could tell us who is going to win

 

-1 he hasn't looked good agaisnt WW baldimir, judah and Oscar. He smashed 140 and 135 at best (hatton and marquez) So he has to show me something in this FIGHT with MOSLEY!! But in saying that, pac is not really that big for WW and Floy will look like Clottey nxt to Pac. I think Pac is fighting legit sleek african american WW it will look like the Clottey fight with more offence and speed coming from the sleek africano-americano.
