He should be but anything less runs the risk of him being at a disadvantage. There is no disadvantage for Pac coming in on fight night. Pac will be 100% no matter what!!

All this catchweight crying is only gonna leave Mayweather at a disadvantge. Noone else.

hmm even when he fought Oscar at Welterweight Pac came in at the weigh-in at 142 lbs only.

    Floyd's last 5 weigh-ins have been 147, 146, 146, 150, and 147.

    Pac's last 5 have been 128.5, 130, 129, 134.5, and 142.

Its hard to find a fair weight where Floyd is not too weight drained, but where Pac is not too outsized.

Having Floyd weigh in at the WW limit is the only fair thing. 145 or lower will leave him at a disadvantage.

If they are afraid about being outsized then down ask for the fight.

Was Henry Armstrong challenging bigger men for belts and the best in the world for belts at catchweights?? :tong

Floyd is the returning fighter with something to prove, Pacquiao is ranked P4P no.1, mayweather could easily make 140, so let's get it on at no higher than 143.

No but Armstrong fought bigger men who didn't have titles. Sammy Langford made a career outta fighting much larger men and once fought Jack Johnson where he was outweighed by 30 pounds. Floyd was the P4P champ to most when he retired.

Easy my ass. By next year he wouldn't of had to weigh in at 140 in four years. Not to mention coming off a retirement.

Any sort of catchweight only leaves Floyd at a disadvantage. At any weight limit Pacman will be at 100%. A catchweight will run the risk of Floyd being at a disadvantage. Since it's such a big deal to most then they shouldn't be considering this fight for Pac.

Floyd will have been staying lean in the gym even during his 'retirement'. The winer of Pacquiao and Hatton is going to want to the fight close to light welter to make sure they aren't putting themselves at a disadvantage and Floyd has several months before then to healthily lose the weight.

If Pacman beats Hatton, I'd like to see him fight Mayweather for the Light Welterweight title.

Mayweather claimed to be the 140 pound champ after beating Gatti, even though Hatton was the one who beat Kostya Tszyu.

140-147. Both would naturally weigh the same on fight night.

In no way is Mayweather at a disadvantage at 140 - guy can make 140 with one week in the gym.

I'd like to see Pac-Hatton at 140 so we can have a better test of Pac around that weight than we have seen thus far. That gives him the chance to pick up a belt and sets up the PBF fight nicely. Also, PBF can have himself a nice easy tune-up in the meantime.

    147. See what Pac did to Oscar. Plus Money talks Mayweather that is.
