    143/144 seems a fair catchweight.

Mayweather has fought at 147 for a while now + he`s getting older which means it gets harder to cut weight & still perform at your best.

Pac has proven beyond doubt that he can fight very well at 147 so I say FMJ should not have to come in any lighter than 144.

Of course Roach will push for as light a weight as possible because even he must know that the odds of Pacquiao beating FMJ when both are 100% are pretty slim.

I personally think Mayweather could beat him at 140 but why take that chance ?.... fight at 144-147, lets get it on.

Mayweather made Hatton fight at 147 because he held the cards, he isn't happy that he is no longer the main man and therefore Pacquiao holds the cards. Mayweather, as we're constantly told, is a 'gym rat'; if he can't lose 7 pounds healthily in 6 months minimum, then I have to say he wants no part of Pacquiao. I'm not a massive fan of either btw, but Floyd is easily capable of fighting at 140.

For Pac to want a Mayweather fight he must have some sort of pull. For the next few years Floyd is top 10 P4P whether he be retired or not. Blame Hatton for weighing 145 fight night I guess, we know Pac wouldn't weigh that much. Roach doesn't want Floyd to weigh in at the WW limit which is looking for any advantage possible. Like I said before.. Manny will come in to the fight 100% no matter what and you can't say the same for Mayweather if there is a catchweight. What is the point of the catchweight in the first place anyway? Yeah I thought so :)

Wanting a catchweight is just being a cheap skate IMO. Tito Trinidad didn't have Hopkins weigh in at a catchweight for there fight. Tito entered that MW tournament and stepped up like a man. DLH making Hopkins weigh in at 156 for the MW championship was a ***** move.

People want Floyd to go down in weight because they think he has an increase chance of losing but if Manny looked so great against Oscar then whats the problem with the fight being at 147 where he is proven....Floyd has won a title at 140 Pac hasn't even fought at 140 so what if his body doesn't take the same just from that little weight difference...they should fight at 147 where both are already proven.

Manny maybe 100% and may weigh the same but all in all, he is still the naturally smaller man. Thats a fact. A higher weight will favour FMJ. Some peoples bodies just holds more water...theres no reason for Pac to hang around such a low weight at training...its not because he chooses to, he's just of a lighter weight. The wieght he puts on overnight is simply water and not muscle/bone weight which is what PBF's weight is.

There has to be a catchweight. That's the way it is in megafights. It is a negotiated thing. Manny's ideal weight is not at 147 and Floyd can't fight at 140. They can meet at a catchweight at 143.

Anything below 147 would be great for Floyd so he could better match speed with Pacquiao. Don't think Floyd would go for a fight at 140, but a 142 pound catchweight would be a good compromise.

Depends on what your looking for. For the most compitive match up 145 lbs give or take a pound is probbly best. I think Pacquaio is probbly a more natural light welter an Mayweather is probbly a more natural welter. If you want this fight to detemen the greatness of Mayweather than it should happen at 140 where Pacquaio has the advantage and if you wnt this to be about the greatness of Pacquaio than it should be at 147 where Mayweather has the advantage.

Just to preclude post-fight excuses from sore losers, it must be fought at a catchweight. 143 is ideal.

Everyone knows that DLH was already shot but most "boxing experts" predicted that even a shot DLH is too much for tiny Pacman. They said that the size difference is just too much for Pacman to overcome.

Even fellow Floyd fans will tell you that Floyd is a gym rat and that making weight at 140 is easy for him. Besides, don't you see Floyd whooping Manny at any weight?

I think they will fight at 147, it's not like either of them are natural welterweights so it is an even fight in my view.
