......and Pacquiao does lose some of his power from his speed flurries, but he manages to lose less of it than say Roy Jones in his prime.........which by an large is the reason why Pacquiao gets hit more. .....he gets hit more because he commits more, which is only logical.
Yes it does. You are making it sound like that. Like it is a real big deal --- to punch real fast. When the emphasis should be ontechnique. Jones overwhems Pac in that catagory.
both guys made good guys look ordinary. Jones made great fighters like James Toney and Virgil Hill look inept.
Jones only because he could do that to slick boxers as well as stationary boxers ..The example of Manny unloading on Cheato is a bad refrence since he just stood there and didn't move his head ..I would have used the combos he hit Morales with in their 2nd fight ..But Manny is still fast ..What makes them so great is the one thing they both have in common ..Tremendous foot work !
Ok. In terms of punch combinations, Jones' punch combo is faster, but are only mostly arm punches. Pac's combos are mostly power punches. In terms of jabs, Jones' are much faster. In terms of straight/hook, Jones' are faster. Pac's right hook became much faster and deadlier over time, but overall, Jones takes the cake.
I'm a Pac fan but come on, Margarito is hardly skilled to **** now, is he? Anyway Pac is the faster guy but Roy, for the weight he fought at, was just incredible.
