Sanchez by late round TKO, just like against Little Red and Nelson. Too much of everything for PAQ to handle
Chava takes this one...he was just simply amazing. Going just on the numbers from the poll, I would say there are at least 7 people at this moment that have NEVER seen Sanchez fight. THAT, is the one and only explanation.
Sanchez wins a clear UD. Pac is special but I don't see how he could beat Sanchez. He would give Salvador some problems with his speed and being a southpaw but Sanchez was too well rounded to lose this.
Everyone is voting for sanchez, i haven't seen him fight.. All I know is he had 23 pro fights something and was 21 something when he died. I wasn't yet born by then. Wish I could see how this guy is:|
Im going to take the contrary view here Sanchez's early death has lead to him becoming one of the most overrated fighters in history. No disrespect but this happens to everyone who dies before his time, it gets romanticized. After the Gomez fight, he looked very ordinary Do any of you know how ordinary he looked in half of his defenses ? If you didn't know, he struggled! see his fights with Ford, Castillo, Pat Cowdell, Rocky Garcia...for proof. His greatest victory was against a 122 lber who as great as he was offensively was very poor defensively As for the Nelson fight..Nelson had 10 career fights and gave him trouble in the earlier rounds...Had they rematched the time Nelson turned into a beast, I believe Nelson would have beaten him I dont know who will win, Im just putting my 10 cents
you can view some of his fights on youtube. he was a counterpuncher like marquez, although you can say he's stronger physically. and i think he will win via UD against pacman in a grueling intense battle
You're ruining the romanticism of fighters whose careers died tragically early. Don't you know, they're always the most unbeatable? Anyway, I agree with some of the points but Gomez wasn't too shabby on defense. He wasn't too good above 122 though. As I said before, I think Sanchez would be up for this fight and he'd step up his game. As it was for Lopez and Gomez, it's a bigger fight, rather than a fight like Nelson where it was supposed to be just another defense against a late replacement. I think Sanchez gets past Pacquiao, but I'm not sure if he would've beaten Pedroza.
Yeah...overrated.... [yt]PJUttwIuJ1s[/yt] (Yes, that was only two impressive wins...but if you are aware who those two fighters were...then nothing else needs to be said)
I meant Red Lopez initially not Gomez, Gomez was just small . Pedroza surely was one of teh most underrated fighters ever...He would have troubled Sal with his power at 126 The one for me that I would have loved to see was Arguello / Sanchez at 130 ..Arguello I think could have knocked him out..as it stands now..Sanchez is somehow a more mythical figure than the great alexis.
You know Gomez was the greatest 122 ever arguably..At 126 he was nothing special... whose the other great fighter?..it cant be the green Azumah..coz nelson was a well known late bloomer. Danny Red Lopez..was a defenseless slugger..he was never a great fighter
very true about the concept but that aint the case here if you recall pac struggled with solis and larios as well as JMM 2x and em 2x em was beating him in the 2nd fight just . i think pac would definalty give him trouble. i say ss beats him 8 rounds to 4 if it's a 15 round fight its a ko in the 12 or 13 but ss would sweep the last 3 or maybe lose 1 round. it would be a great fight though.
Even though I think past fighters are too often idolized into unbeatable monsters, in this case, I'd have to say Sanchez.
