Pac Vs. The Puppies @ 147 : Agree or Disagree . . . ???

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by BenjaminLinus, Oct 19, 2010.

  1. Berto - TKO/KO
    Alexander - TKO/KO
    Bradley - TKO/KO
    Khan - KO
    Maidana - KO

I'm not tryin' to hate or hype Pac, but these guys are simply too green and none of them have fought an elite fighter. Floyd embarrasses all of them, too.

    Thoughts?

Of course Pacquiao beats all of them.

  3. That's why it's so ****ing maddening that Pac and Floyd haven't fought. There's no one else out there for either fighter. Margarito was the next best fight, like it or not.

Yep I could see Margo posing a tougher fight then any of those guys especially at this weight. Manny is taking a risk moving up another weight class where he really has no business being in.

This is probably the most respectable thread I've seen from you. Hope it continues. Stay out of the gutter. I give any of those guys a decent shot at beating Pac or Floyd mainly because they are young, hungry, and have impressive athletic skills. Win or lose they deserve at least a shot, especially Bradley. You can't be great unless you are given a chance to shine, just like the way Barrera gave Pac a chance to rise when he was still a bit green.

All way too inexperienced and not tested at that weight to boot, Pac KO's them all.

  7. Let's observe the last fights of our young lil pups...

    Khan - stopped a faded, feather-fisted Malignaggi

Berto - stopped Quintana, a C/B level fighter

Alexander - let's be honest, he looked terrible, and got a gift decision against Kotelnik (he was so embarrassed by his performance that he's justifying the win simply on being the busier fighter)

Bradley - looked simply average against a very average fighter in Abregu

Maidana - looked simply average against a old and faded Corley

For a group of guys who are supposed to be the Future Faces of Boxing and Next Superstars, not one of them delivered a spectacular performance like say Pac-Cotto/Hatton/ODLH. For any one of these guys, fighting Pac is like walking into a buzzsaw.

First of all, Pacquiao should be fighting 140lb fighters at 140. He ought to be able to make that weight easily, so why should he try to draw them out of their comfort zones?

You could well be right, but I'd still like to see Pac (at some point and not at the expense of a Pac-May fight) fight Bradley and Maidana. Bradley's fast and has skils and, unlike Clottey, Maidana will hit back. They'd be fun while they lasted.

  10. True. Pac's a beast at 140. He's an even bigger beast at 147. I think Pac stays in Welterweight for the rest of his career. If they want him, they gotta go up and get him.

  11. If Victor Ortiz dropped Maidana THREE TIMES, what do you think Pac would do to him?

Let's give Bradley a chance he's getting better everyday, maybe after he beats khan and Alexander he'll be ready

Moving up another weight class. This is light middle a stepping stone between 147 and 160 and Pac being so picky he needs another step between 147 and 154. He isnt jumping up a weight class he is putting on a few pounds.

Aside from Berto all those guys are at 140.

But yeah, he beats all of them.

Since Floyd's going to be off to Prison soon maybe those matches aren't that bad.

Arum even said Pac's not going to stay at 154 (nor should he) because he's having trouble making weight.

I know there's not big money in it but those would all be decent names on his record.
