F him. HBO aint going to pay him that. I thought it wasn't about the money. He must be dumber than Floyd and blew all his money that he needs to keep fighting.
Pacquiao is the biggest draw currently in the sport. So of course he might want money especially at the end of his career.
No, Canelo and Pac are both equal in drawing power. Like Alex said earlier in the thread Pac wants 20 mill because he knows the risk that Crawford presents.
Here's the catch though, this version of Pac would also **** up, Dulorme, Lundy, Molina Jr. Postol, Burns, Gamboa, Jean Beltran, Klimov and Prescott as well, in fact Bradley, Vargas, Mayweather and maybe even Rios would too. Granted, stylistically Crawford is all wrong for Pac, but.... Pac is stylistically pretty wrong for Bud too.
I still think it's a great fight, but Crawford has too many dimensions to his game. Crawford is going to be very, very, very difficult for Pac or any of the young guns a division north to beat, hands down!
No doubt, it will be anything but a walk in the park, but the same can be said for Crawford, no one he's ever faced has prepared him for Pac with the exception of maybe Gamboa, and that wasn't what I'd call easy for him, even in the round he KO'd Gamboa in he was out on his feet. Pac can and will land more frequently than any of s previous opponents, and how will Bud deal with that?
Excellent clash of styles, and good points. I just hope they can come to terms and make it happen sometime in the spring! The first quarter of 2017 is already stacked, the inclusion of that fight would make it..JUST.....; This content is protected
I think bud is vastly overrated, especially by the HBO crew, beside postol, who has he beat. I don't rate Mathisse that highly .
If Arum truly feels this is the fight that will pass the PPV torch to TC then he should stump up. Pacquiao has earned Top Rank enough cash they can take a hit if it's in their long term prerogative. That's if TC beats Pac. Which is highly possible but still an if.
