This fight is super special. It comes with super special clauses and conditions.

    - Olympic style drug testing

    - $10 million per pound overweight penalty

    Think about it.

If that's the only part of my post you can find fault with then I rest my case.

Thank you for unwittingly confirming what I said.

I agree...If Floyd wants Manny to take a blood test then Floyd should accept Manny's demand. Fair is fair.:good

10 million will never fly but Floyd came into his last fight at 146 but but what if the scale is off or mis calibrated?? Maybe there should be three different scales at the weigh in.:D That will probably be the next arguement.

Silly stuff to just get back at Floyd for asking for the olympic style drug testing. Hopefully these guys will realize they are acting like spoiled little girls and get on with the important stuff like going into training.

Which one you prefer, a superfight being called off after the weigh-in because one boxer came in 0.1 lb. overweight or a superfight proceeded because one boxer accepted a $10M penalty from the boxer who came in 0.1 lb overweight?

Heres a good little trick. If Mayweather isnt on weight he can get a doctors note that hes sick or have his uncle break one of his fingers to pull out of the fight and save the 10 million. That way Golden Boy and Bob Arum can take losses on all their promotional money.
Cmon even Manny's promoter wouldnt go for a stupid clause like this he would ulitmately be the one getting the shaft.

To be fair man, I understand why Pac is doing this...If Floyd asked for a blood test, then Pacman has every right to ask for this demand....I'm not going to knock Manny for this.

    And I'm a Mayweather fan!:good

Manny can ask for whatever he wants regardless. However, this sounds like bull****. I doubt his team will actually request it. If they do, they wil be swiftly rejected.

I knew when I wrote this that door was open but see the context of the post I replied too.

To call Mayweather a cheat is to say he never had the intention of coming in at the contracted weight. That we simply don't and cannot know. I think his body changed a little while he was out because he gained a few years. I'm no Mayweather fan but I don't think when he signed the contract that he planned on missing weight and simply paying the fine.

If Manny gets a cold during training and his doctor gives him something to help him train and it turns out there is a banned substance in the med, would that make Manny a cheat? Stuff like this has happened.

To me cheating means an intentional act and I just don't believe Floyd planned on giving up over half a million dollars when he signed the contract.

I understand that Reg...but me personally, I'm trying to look at this from a neutral stance...No biasness involved...If Mayweather wants the blood test then he can ask for it, if Manny wants a 10 mill. fine for over the limit then he should ask it...If the demands are met is another debate...I see your points though!

The guy has been a gymrat his whole life. At the very least, he could have sweated out the 2 pounds and reweighed later in the day for the Marquez fight weigh-in.
