The date was actually picked by Pacquaio. He chose March becuase he wouldn't be available in May due to the elections. Both fighters must wear 8 oz. gloves. You are not allowed to wear different size gloves from your opponent.

Pac can demand 100mil for every 0.0001lb over the limit and it would still be fair. Bottomline, both guys make sure they can make the weight or no fight at all.

If true, what's the problem? The fight is at 147.

floyd will pull what he did to JMM, thats what the problem is. and demand credit for beating a bloated opponent.

Good point. A more reasonable price should be negotiated, and it should be after those 2 hours. If he's fined $10 million for being a couple of ounces overweight that is absolutely ridiculous.

The reactions of hardcore Mayweather fans shows how hypocritical they are.

That was at 145. Maybe Floyd couldn't find that extra lb, he looked cut and didn't look like he had much else to lose on him. He's a natural 147. He has never weighed over 147 for a welterweight fight, and made 146 against JMM. He will not weight over 147, so he won't 'pull what he did to JMM'.

If there is a 2hr rule then Im sure that is part of the "weigh in". So if Floyd comes in 1lb overweight, he has to run that 1lb off and "weigh in" again. If he cant make the weight for the "weigh in" then he's fined 10mil per lb.

Fair enough. For such a small WW who is a natural JWW as the floydettes would have you believe, Floyd should have no reason to come in any higher.

The last bit of weight is the hardest and most draining. At this level neither guy can really afford to give ANY advantage to his opponent. Ounces may sound silly to you but this is a legacy fight for both men and it most certainly is not silly to them.

Yep. Power to him, I say. Floyd is supposed to be a professional -- professionals don't do what he did in the JMM match. The sad thing is, we all know how much he trains when he wants to -- if he was determined, he could have easily made weight. He rarely has issues with it at all. He should take this match seriously, like a pro, and come in at the proper weight...that's all that's being asked of him, nothing more. A severe penalty for going over the limit should not only be expected, it should be approved of. Same goes for Pac and his weight.
