    1 situations equates to history?
His history of what? not making 147?

how about they probaly want floyd to come in dry starved and dehydrated. Floyd is probaly not allowed to Hydrate pass 148 after weigh in.

    Two things.

First and foremost, this is really a non issue. This is just 2 camps trying one up each other for something that at the end of the day will not prevent the fight from happening. $10 million is asked before like any negotions you always ask for more than you really wan, of course unless you are a 'noob' in the arts of negotiation. My bet is it will be reduced down to $5 million. Even then it would be still pointless as PBF will sure make weight anyway.

Second, The 2 hour limit to reduce weight after initial weigh in sound good but in reality people like PBF and Pac and Cotto and others do not like to dehydrate that close to the fight. It affects your stamina. Re-hydrating yourself 24 hours before the fight is not ideal. In the biggest match of their entire career, they will not put themselves in a disadvantage to rehydrate more than they should.

I will suspect PBF will come in at 147 and weigh ~153 lb at fight night. I suspect Pac weighing at 146 but 148 at fight night.

PBF has to make the contracted weight. $10 mill. is extreme, but at the same time a fighter must make weight.:rasta

I know its kind of irrelevant to the unprofessional behaviour it would show if he went over the weight limit, but to be honest come fight night it really wouldn't surprise me if Pacquiao weighed more than Floyd.

Well it's probably going to make more money than any boxing match has made in the history of the sport. He's coming off a TKO over Cotto, a TKO over ODLH and KO over Hatton. I guess he's real scared and wants out. :|

i don't see the big problem here. there is no catchweight demanded. the fight was ageed to be at the welterweight limit of 147.

the demand is for both fighters. all Floyd has to do is what most fighters would do...come in at the weight limit of 147, and so will Pac.

the stipulation keeps both fighters honest and fair for the fight. i don't think any fan here would like any advantage in weight for any fighter for this match. keep it even and let the better fighter win on fight-night.

it's a non-issue for either fighter as they both agreed to a welterweight fight. i think all of us here agree on this....just weigh-in no more than the welterweight limit.

It's really a non issue, they are just trying to **** their scent on top of each other with the drug testing and the weight fine. In the end the fight will go ahead as normal, both will make weight, and they will get it on.

Both want the fight, both want the cash, both are probably nervous but neither scared.

    It's all just hot air.

Also a side note - while I think floyds shennanigans with the weight in the JMM fight was out of order, I have a sneaking suspicion he realised if he made that weight, then it would be much easier for pac/roach to call for another catchweight fight, when the "advantage" for floyd should be at 147lb and he would have no interest in weakening himself for such a big fight by going lower. I also think the drug testing is totally reasonable and should be done in all ranking fights. blood tests are cheap

What`s the problem? There is no catchweight not to mention that it's at 147. Fraud only weighed-in at 146. There is no reason for Fraud to be after of that penalty. Plus, Manny is making sure that Fraud will not pull a ***** move like he did to Juan.

Pacquiao just like to see Floyd "sweat" it out physically, mentally and financially to make weight tho I think Floyd will have no problems making 147.

This is really no big deal, a non-issue. It's placed there just in case Floyd will do another bs act during the weigh-in. It will also give options to Pacquiao either to call off the fight or become $10 million (or more) richer if Floyd comes in overweight.

Also take note that the $10 million per pound penalty apply to both boxers.

The Marquez fight was a catchweight of 144 pounds in which Mayweather hasn't weigh under 146 pounds since 2005 in which is 4 years ago lol. Anybody with a brain knows Mayweather will weigh in the welterweight limit. But 10 million ? Sounds like Pacquiao is trying everything he can to have more money in his pocket. You know what team Mayweather should do? If Manny drugtest come back positive then Manny should pay Mayweather of all of Manny money of what Manny is making in this fight.

Mayweather accuses Pac of being a doping cheater and Pac accuses Mayweather of being a 'weigh in' cheat?
